Come on bruh. He was given that title as a thank you and a promotion to get a raise. He may have had more responsibilities, but this is Fisch's O. We don't need to go out and find someone to replace the passing coordinator part. Just coach WRs and be a monster recruiter.

How 'bout making another run @ John McNulty. With the Cards staff on the hot seat and his Golden / Pedo State connection why not?

Huge loss....huge. Great coach. The problem with Miami moving forward will always be that they can't pay the amount of money to assistant coaches that many other top programs (especially the SEC) can pay....so guys will leave. I didn't expect it to happen this quickly with McDonald, i figured Fisch would be first to go, but i'm not shocked either.
 
Zook would be awesome and I don't know if Cristobal could really do it, but I'd like to see him back in the program. He is a true monster recruiter and would help us continue to tear up South Florida (and when he was here he could get some big OOS prospects too).
 
I would love to see us somehow get Cristobal on the staff. Although I cant see how this would make it possible

Yeah unfortunately I doubt it happens. But Mario did corch TE's here for a while and has been a HC, so it's not like he is completely unfamiliar with the passing game. Either way, he would be a really strong south florida presence. If we aren't going to get a guy like him or Zook I hope we get another McDonald type (NFL background and elite position coach).

Anyone think it's time to counter FSU (with Coley and previously Gran) with a hot shot recruiter of our own? McDonald was obviously good, but as much as I hate to admit it I don't think he was on their level.

I think we already have that in Barrow. I'm not really worried about filling the position though. Al will get someone good.
