Geo Predicting Decommits

- Dykstra for sure: IMO this would be a good thing. Means were trending for the local OL and to be honest I don't think he is Miami talent. Looked awful at Paradise camp

Other possibilities -

- Dingle: I hope not (need a strong possesion receiver like him), but not a huge loss if so. WR position does need to be cleaned up, and I want Dingle in this class

- DJ: Would be a huge loss

The good thing about DJ is we still have an OV for him. Bring the parent in with him and let Kool and Richt do work. There will only be a couple weeks left after he visits till NSD. Hopefully he rides the wave of that into a signature on NSD for Miami.

You guys realize he can commit to Warshington and cancel the UM trip right? You know he's not contractually obligated to visit UM if he suddenly decides he's sure he wants to go elsewhere right?

I love DJs play but he has been a little up and down from the start. Originally had Old Miss as his # 1-even though no commit at the time. Have a relative whose son is in the Pasadena area as a 2019 kid and scored in the 80s on the SPARQ Nike. Washington is coming on heavy to talent on west coast playing to the emotion to play near home and for a top 10 team.

I really hope he stays out of the three, but would not hold my breath.

Four-star DE from California has Ole Miss as No. 1

Washington recruited some monsters under Sark but could never get over the hump on the field. Peterson is a great HC though, so now they'll start winning again.

DJ seems a little wishy washy doesn't he?

Takes a real plugged in insider with years of experience and connections to predict decommitments as the recruiting season picks up. Whew. Give that kid a raise.

I like the subtle hedge in his tweet. Brace yourselves for a "possible" decommitment. Then if it doesn't happen he can say "I said it was possible not certain. Recruiting is fluid."

The recruiting gurus always use vague language to protect their reputations. Geo is working that recruiting guru vagueness to perfection.

I appreciate that Pete usually speaks about specific recruits. You may end up wrong but at least it shows you are getting some info from somewhere.

I think I will start a Twitter account next summer and post a weekly: "watch for a possible commit" with the eyeballs and everything. By the end of summer I will have Tom Luginbill's job.

You can make a name for yourself quickly with empty **** like that. The dolts who follow recruiting are notoriously gullible. Hit em with a few well-timed "watch out for a possible commit" tweets, and you'll be gold.

Looks more like trying to find that second DT. Conliffe is 6'5 300, that kid is 6'4 265. They're not recruiting a kid that big as a DE in this scheme

I saw that back in April the Old Miss article . Then we get a commit and I wondering if it would stick. MR has to win out and win the bowl he goes to which is very likely. And then that may not be enough. Washington plays to the parents on the west coast on being able to see your son play live in the stadium, etc.

Prepare for the possibility of decommits and/or commits. Look, im an insider!

Patiently awaiting my next demerit from IndayArtHauz

Word is getting stronger that the U will land one of the "local" OL-men for 2017. Vibes are getting strong for a flip not just wishful wanting.

D.J.'s trip to Washington went a little better than people expected. Too soon to see if the vibes/feelings carry over for the long term.

Hope you right need OL baaaaaaaaadddddddddd

let me say, i don't know if dykstra will pan out or not wherever he goes. but for the love of gawd the importance people have placed on paradise camp is crazy. general managers lose their jobs falling in love with the combine!

I'd like to keep Dingle given our lack of depth at receiver. Having said that, DJ is an elite prospect that we need to hold onto. God help me if I hear a "we're fine at DE so not a need" as we need to build depth at every position.

+1. So tired of being a below average team hearing all the fans talk about how were fine after we lose stud after stud. Heard the same **** with Cook, Benjamin, Watkins, Petesron, Joyner, etc. Were never "fine". For those that say you cant land them all. Bama does and thats why they kick everyones ***. They dont just land all the locals. They handpick nation wide. Im sure Richt and Kool going to go full throttle on DJ

Bama landing only locals is SIGNIFICANTLY different than Miami landing only locals. I am all for Miami trying to go get stud national recruits but if they were able to keep all of the local studs home we would play second fiddle to nobody. We need to start locking down these South Florida kids and if we do the program looks much better.

It's the only thing we have to gauge him against top level talent.. kid plays in Iowa

And he got smoked

Understood, but it is one event. He wasn't offered, presumably, from one event. I just think cutting him from performance at PC is weak. The reality is the board has axed Dykstra bc of PC. The staff have been able to see how he has done this season.

On a somewhat related note, I really hope we build on Paradise Camp in years to come and continue to bring recruits from all over for it. It's a great tool for recruiting and evaluating. I have to give Richt props for doing it, we need to be more innovative with recruiting, Jim Harbough-esque.

I agree with that sentiment. I hope we keep using it and expanding it.

Not just Bama getting SoFla kids, was at Ga game today and watched Isiah McKenzir, Sony Michele, Javon Wims, Riley Ridley, and Deandre Baker win that game. Course majority of them recruited when CMR was there.

Hey, at least he doesnt have a special series called "the Work" that is published every 6 weeks.
