that's crazy for people to call him a failure. cam is a gunslinger that we live and die with. you're a coach, you see how many times cam will leave or miss an open guy because he wants to do the scrambling routine .

Dawson is literally the play caller for the best offense in Canes history… I understand about Guidry and Gattis though. Steele was a decent DC who got an opportunity to be the DC at Alabama, so i wouldn’t really call that a whiff.

We’ve seen Dawson succeed with a generational QB, we’ve seen him suck with a ****** QB.

If you want to call him solid, that’s fine. When 75% of your hires are ****, that’s not great.

Cam makes Dawson look OK. His run scheme is plays. He still doesn't use an NFL TE in the middle of the field. Has him running deep all of the time. No screens, except those 1 yard tunnel screens on 3rd and 8. Just not very creative. Again, Cam is generational. We'll see when we have someone other than him next year. Not optimistic here.

I don’t think we can say too much about Dawson at this point. Can’t give him too much blame or credit, with the way Cam constantly audibles out of the original calls.

My only concern is with the WRs separation, or lack thereof, in many games this year. There’s a reason why Cam has many pass plays that extend longer than 5-6 seconds.

Is that WRs or is it route concepts? We have XR, JG and ZH, so I’m not so sure its the WRs.

I have blamed Guidry and the defensive players for most of the problems this Canes team has had this season, but today I think both coordinators were out coached (again) by GT and the players on defense and offense were just too lackadaisical and share blame for this loss.
