Gattis has been gone for several weeks. Mario has been working to replace him that entire time. Now that the office is officially vacant, expect it to be filled rather quickly.

I don’t think Miami is paying his buyout. Lots of chatter past few days that this was an internal HR type issue that ultimately led to them firing with cause. Seems like his reputation of being a ladies man might have caught up with him within the workplace.

You are correct about hope. But i want happiness. We had hope last year when we hired Gattis, what with the Broyles award and all. Maybe I am asking for too much because nothing really means anything until the product is on the field.
Maybe you are correct and hope is the best we can ask for right now.
