If Porter is healthy (not that he is injured but given his history), I think our defense is MUCH MUCH better than last year. He is actually a guy that can do damage. Then if other players like Pierre and Robinson can put in solid time, the front 4 will make the back 7 look better.

By week 2, I don't know. If our defense is healthy, I like our chances for quicker improvement i.e. by week 2.

If we stay healthy during fall camp I like our chances. I think as Al continues to preach the kids we have in the two are buying into what they are selling. Lines seems about right.

Besides the fact that the above comment is the most unoriginial comment that gets re-posted on every canes site.... it also doesnt make sense.

The top 25 ranking is fluid, most teams go through the season moving up, down, out of the rankings, and back in the rankings... they all have to "prove" they can stay there.

I don't know what you are talking about unoriginal comments reposted on message boards.....you must be one of those porsters who doesn't realize that once we skate, then we back and no matter how much Corch Dorito changes his philosophies we still don't want to be ranked unless we can stay ranked.

Another thing nobody has mentioned is that Son Life is going to be brutally hot at noon on September 7 and we practice all summer in this heat and it's hot.

We also need to bear in mind that dannyboycane will be coming out with his prediction for this game. Immediately.

Don't forget about the investigation either. The sooner the NOA gets passed to the LOIC and onto NCAA HQ and the COI and Emmert the sooner we can sign some DTs and maybe even make a final pitch at Sony.

It better be ******* ACC refs, after the ****sucking SEC ref called that bull**** catch on the sidelines in 08, I think we're due for a return favor. Still ****ed about that play, completely turned momentum in their favor.

Early in the season favors us. UiF has tons of young talent but likely will take a bit of time.

Senior QB with lots of experience returning at WR and guys that click together.
 
To be honest, I'm surprised the spread is that low. I personally think we can win the game, but I would guess that the typical bettor would heavily favor Florida because of all the $EC *** kissing, and as such, Vegas would've started with something larger to spread the money.

I think you'd have to be crazy not to count it as an upset. We're going to be unranked and they'll be somewhere near the top 10.

We know what we have down here with guys like Duke, Dorsett, Porter, Denzel, Deon. We know that we have enough talent to hang with a team like UF.

Golden is bringing in Bill Young on a one time coaching basis. He just gets it.
 
I think Muschamp gets exposed this season, but they will still be tougher than UNC, UVA and KSU, and we don't beat the likes of them.
