Tears Gator Tears

Sorry to all you sensitive gator racism deniers on this site.

I will continue to call out the well embedded racism that exists, and is at the core, of Gaturd fan and booster fandom. If you don’t see it, then you don’t understand the current status or history of gaturd football and their power structure (Bull gators and high profile boosters and trustees)

It’s there, alive and well, and I can’t understand a canes fan denying it. Makes me question these “fans”. And no, you won’t shut me up on this, as much as you want me to stop. Again, makes me question a couple of you.

Exactly.

I used to work for a proud Bull Gator, and he was not shy about using the N-word. At work. Because he assumed that all white people saw things as he did.

I got out of there as fast as I could. I never spoke with that man again.

This was a man who provided major financial support to the Gators booster club, and who had many friends in that club. It's not an isolated incident, it is just one example. Keep in mind that in addition to being a UM alum, I am also a UF alum, though I hate the Gaytors.

Sadly, the people making all those HILLLLARIOUS racist jokes on UF websites are not old men who will be dead soon. They are white guys who think it is acceptable to stereotype black people. And it's not just the "thug" stereotypes, if you go back through this thread, I posted the quote from the Gaytor poster who commented that one of their WR recruits looked like "he could catch the ball with his lips".

This isn't some "perceived slight". This isn't "hilarious" jokes. This is a longstanding acceptable behavior among some fanbases, such as UF's, that tolerate overly racist comments and behavior.

And it's not a "political" issue to observe racism in athletics and comment on racism in athletics in an effort to stop it.

Again. STFU! You guys have been asked repeatedly to shut the **** up and you can't contain yourself. Get out of this thread. IndayArtHauz

Chill, gents. Feel free to PM each other until you hit your message limit, but leave the race discussion out of this thread.

Inday, you are a great moderator, but let's not fall for the "bad hombres on both sides" false equivalency.

It's Gaytor Tears when UF fans mocked UM head coach Randy Shannon for his "brother man" recruiting spiel.

It's Gaytor Tears when Charlie Strong acknowledges that he couldn't get fair consideration as HC in Gainesville.

It's Gaytor Tears when a UF poster says that a WR recruit looks like he could catch the football with his lips.

These are just observations of actual things that have happened. Only one person started defending the Gaytors and giving UM fans a hard time for posting these observations.

Plenty of people have been told that if they are unhappy with Gaytor Tears, they don't have to open the thread. Caneoil should do the same.

No.

And I will gladly stop responding to Caneoil when he stops justifying and defending the racist comments that Gaytor fans make on their boards.

We have nearly 500 pages of all of the ridiculous things that Gaytor fans have said, the thread has existed for months, and now this guy is going to start calling UM fans out as "racist" because we have spotlighted the bad things that Gaytor fans do and say?

Gaytor fans say all kinds of outrageous things. Including, but not limited to, racist and outrageous things.

Hard to believe that a few on here feel like now we can’t call out the gaturd racism that has been documented ad nauseam in this thread. Many times. For months.

It was never really a “racial discussion”, per se, until this CaneOil made it so with his constant defense of the gaturds and false equivalency.

What kind of a Gaturd Tears thread will this become when gaturd comments and attitudes can’t be called out? My objection was this clown constantly defending or denying well embedded gaturd racism which is part of their program.

Just look at the post history - it was his intention to make this a broader discussion about racism, which I’ve avoided. My only comments have been in response to gator behavior and posts, and to not defending them.

This is gator tears. We should be able to bring up all the gator dirt, including occasionally their racist board remarks, etc, without CaneOil turning it back around and broadening the discussion to race in general.

We need tears RVC! The boredom is killing his thread as we're all falling back into tribal warfare of politics and race. Tears unite us please! Lol

Jeezus... I went to bed early and woke up to this vomit. Defending the Gaytor is not conducive to the vibe of this thread. If a Cane calls them racist, I'm not jumping on the Cane...and definitely not in here. I'd just move on if I don't agree. We don't need this back and forth in here either. I'm glad some of you bowed out or stayed out and/or stepped in calling for this dialogue to cease. If someone wants to keep going IndayArtHauz is nearby and issued 1 general warning. Please keep it about the tears in here.

What they think their turnover chain would look like if they thought of it...

...We know their chain would have golden jorts with a cloth belt hanging from it.

Their ignorance isnt ours. I have no issue with anyone calling them out on it. We as canes all have different views on things but we don't take it to a racist level or view. Our comments aren't racial motivated like theirs.

As much as I wish it were the case, I'm not here to make judgements on who's the bad hombre, nor am I trying to sift through pages of text and discern the legitimacy of each side. It just takes too much time and doesn't profit the board long term.

There's no issue with saying racist statements are racist. It's continuing to trade blows with the same poster over the same point page after page that's the issue, and it's evidenced by the fact that everyone else (even the majority who agree with you) want it to stop.

Only one poster has gotten an infraction on this issue. That's not playing to a false equivalency, that's how I saw the conversation unfolding. If they continued to derail the thread and ignored the infractions they'd be temp band for it. But when another poster is actively engaging them it severely muddles the water. That's where the 2 bad hombres can emerge.

When I say stop, I'm looking for the guy who was in the wrong to either give it up or stick his neck out further. When the guy who wasn't in the wrong keeps engaging him it makes that much more difficult.

some of the **** fans get it " Miami talent, Recruiting Miami area well will hurt a lot of teams" I think its going to hurt fsu more than the turds. It will be a lot harder of bama, Clemson, Michigan and ohio state to get all the top talent out of south fl like in the past. Miami will not be going after kids like Edwards and Henderson when were on top. So the turds will be just fine getting the lower ranking recruits that Miami will look over.
