UF is ahead of us...great close and whatever they sold other than Lagway was smart. Likely overspent apparently

Take Miami out of the picture...look at there class and honestly tell me what is so elite and great about it?

Hanks is the only one that really jumps out to me...and maybe the DT...but he is one bad semester away from being Desmond Watson.

UF is ahead of us because they took three more players than we did. Our Avg per player is higher and I think we were not going to reach on guys on purpose.

I’m not so much worried about them. They had legacies this year to bump their class up. Would have liked to flip Alford and Pickett, but can understand why both players went were they committed to. I’ll reserve judgement on this talent acquisition period once the portal players are added.

It still seems like they missed on some of their top targets, flipped guys in other classes that didn’t wanna match the upped bags they were offering. Could be a bad omen overall

Not sure what Barber will do at LT since he’s NFL eligible (he’d be a fool to leave imo). If he does leave, thats a hole. And i’d say WR is THEE biggest need. We don’t return a proven WR.
In all honesty for the “whiffs” I’m assuming the gators are going to find a place to put that money (portal). Thankfully we don’t have to go h2h for a qb in the portal, that will just be a ****ing match of money.

we add one wr also but still too early to tell with what’s out there. I hope we don’t add some bull**** like Sam brown again and watch someone eat up nil who doesn’t want to be here.

Got a wishlist for staff changes?

Billy finally making the oc change or he’s just going to thug it out. I guess if lagway is good with it it’s going to stay status quo.

Well, unless they make significant portal additions it will be the same team. Unless Napier wants to play a bunch of freshman in Week 3.
On top of that, college football is a talent acquisition business. They may have finished with a higher rated class than us, but in the sec they were the 8th ranked class. Assuming each of these classes has the same hit rate, that means they are assembling the EIGHTH best roster in the SEC. meanwhile, we have had the top class in the ACC for three straight seasons. I much prefer us having a pathway to the acc title game yearly with the cfp on the line than being the EIGHTH best team I. The SEC, which virtually assures them they never make the playoffs.
