It sounds so reasonable on paper.

First, Billy did NOT hire an OC this past off-season when he was already on the hot seat.

Second, what can an OC do in a few months to fix that horrible O-line? Meryl is gone, but he suffered two injuries this year. They would be a Lagway injury away from 0-12.

Yes, the “best case scenario” would seem nice for an OC. But the worst case scenario could derail his career.

And there is zero history at UF of Slingblade Billy’s staff moving onward and upward. Except maybe the DB coach that Slingblade fired.

He's already reached the "cut off the hand to save the arm" stage. He's replaced every position coach except for RB.

He's on his THIRD play calling defensive coordinator, and his FOURTH DC overall. He's on his second play calling offensive coordinator, and his THIRD OC overall.

What staff changes are left to make?
