Yeah, that was just rambling. National guys like Herbstreit and Cowherd (more of a talk radio guy, but well known) have clearly stated that CFB is better when the Canes are relevant.

It's just like the movies, you need a bad guy for the excitement. Back in the day Miami provided a team for everyone except their fan base to hate, and they were badder than the normal bad guy. To make matters worse, they dominated for years. I never understood the NCAA trying to kill the program, as in my opinion it did so much for college football. Things were changing with ESPiN and so many channels broadcasting games, and we were the needed "thugs" putting a beat down on the blue blood programs.

Sad thing is the NCAA seems to still have not have figured out that a good Miami team equals ratings. People still love to watch and hope we lose, just not as much, but hopefully Richt fixes that very soon!

That “U” on the helmet is one of the most recognizable emblems in CFB and unlike that “F” that they have which looks the same as the Fresno State “F” EVERYONE that has ever watched a CFB game and a ton of people that haven’t know what that “U” represents...
