Ah Mario's favorite past time!

The ACC refs cost us a lot this season. I know blaming the refs is usually our go to around here, but they were especially bad this season. I’ve never seen anything like it.I’d rather have SEC refs.

They legitimately cost us one game outright. Cheney was clearly down. The ACC refs cost us a lot this season. I know blaming the refs is usually our go to around here, but they were especially bad this season. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Saw a trio of UF morones on YouTube saying if he doesn't go 4 and 1 to start 2024 he is fired. And they have more talent than Miami so that's a W

Absolutely. I didn’t include them because there is are variables as to whether we would have won with them. In the case of GT however, that fraudulent call was the difference maker. It was 1984ish…the video evidence showed four fingers and the referees decided it showed five.THREE blown safeties. Two of them in games we lost and which would have put us in position to tie (UNC) or win (F$U) on the final drive of the game.

People were trying to convince themselves it wouldn’t have mattered against FSU. Instead of going into half tied, we could have been up 6 getting the ball to start the 3rd. That’s a big difference. The safeties are just the most obvious. How about the PI on George against Louisville. Or them not giving the Louisville player 15 after they just gave out 2 to Miami for the same thing. Or the bs call on Bain before the 1/2 in that game while also adding time to the clock 3 times, giving them time to score. There were 500 examples of awful officiating against us this season. We’ve always had our conspiracy theories of ACC refs and the Canes, but this season was awful and blatantly obvious.True. But a safety is devastating beyond the 2 points. You have to punt or kickoff from the 20. If you punt, you don't have the 3 or 4 or 5 seconds for gunners to get down the field. If you kickoff, you are 15 yards farther back than normal. Either situation usually provides the other team with better field position than any other situation, outside of a turnover. You frequently see another offensive score right after a safety.
It’s one thing when the evidence is questionable. In example after example this season, the referees ignored clear and incontrovertible proof of Cheney being down and safeties being registered. This goes beyond incompetence or “missed calls”.People were trying to convince themselves it wouldn’t have mattered against FSU.
