💯 agree.
A Stanford degree, plus the connections and network you make are invaluable.
ATM is not a bad school but it has no where near the prestige of Stanford.
He probably got an extra $50K from ATM, so he thinks he’s winning.
Wouldn’t be my choice and if it was my kid, I’d lose my **** if he made the same choice. Hope it works out for him, but I thinks it’s a stupid short sighted decision.
This is very true nationally. However, a UT or A and M degree hold almost equal weight in the state of Texas, where Texas pride wins out above all

It was about Mertz the QB… something to effect of “ Fla gets a serviceable backup for Rashada” lol

One of the comments was “if he doesn’t flip “
I love that they want to let rashada have growing pains, but will they really accept that IF, and it’s a serious IF at this point, Lagway ever steps foot on campus? How soon will they demand dj, and will they be willing to give him the time to have some growing pains?

They can’t accept that without urban they’re a middle of road sec team. Texas and oklahoma going to sec is only going to make things worse for them.

Not a Billy hater, he’s a solid g5 hc but idk how they thought he would recruit against Mario. They should cut to the big12 cause the sec expansion is going to paralyze them. Tebow becomes less likable each year so the urban/Tebow nostalgia works against them, they have zero momentum and are in for a rough 2024 when we play

They should join the ACC so they can stop dodging us

People on here over state Stanford. It’s an elite school but you still have to be dedicated to take advantage of it. The networking for football players isn’t as friendly and automatic as people make it out to be. If it was, then the school would be cleaning in recruiting all the time. Reality is that top kids like this have football as priority #1. Also, 8-4 isn’t a terrible school with a very wealthy alumni base that love their football players.
It's Stanford, the degree opens doors, period. Never mind the fact that they've been cranking out high end OL and TE for most of the last decade plus. Their system revolves around the TE position most years.

The reason WHY Stanford doesn't clean up in recruiting is because they can't recruit a good chunk of the elite kids. David Shaw once noted that they can AT BEST offer maybe 25-30 of the top 200 kids, because their admission standard is significantly higher than the typical state school. Stanford, like Miami, Duke and Northwestern requires more than the NCAA minimum, mostly because those schools have fewer places to hide at risk kids.

Stanford despite having extremely wealthy alumni, isn't nearly as active in NIL as other institutions.

Lew would have been amazing a whole OL in one class. Think we add more high 5’s next cycle. Stacking time. High end OL talent not nfl jags
Not taking anything away from this incredible class but this is what we need to see

We won’t (likely) be able to sell playing time and that new regime turnover angle as hard next year but Mario is here for this reason. Gotta stack classes we always follow up a good one with a trash one
