Thats when you are heading 2,3 years in your tenure. And regardless it still only the icing on your recruiting ability. The wins start mattering when the fans start getting impatient and u get on hot seat, then it filters to the recruits. U just get there its about recruiting and selling a vision
I'm just saying, you can sell whatever vision you want but if you're going 6-6 and 7-5 every year, nobody good is buying your vision. Eventually it has to transfer to the field. You've got one year maybe two to start actually winning before recruits stop listening to you.

I think we are saying the same thing in a different way brah.

I could write a book on this one. Holy sheeeit.

I'll try to keep it simple and brief. Not six months ago, the Gaytors were bragging about paying Harold Perkins' mama with illegal inducements (no-show job at Shands, housing in Hogtown). They were bragging that they had enough money to get signatures from a bunch of blue-chippers. Chick Fil-A QueJay was promising the moon and the stars (literally and figuratively).

And if those things would have come true 6 months ago, then it would have involved and required money. And the having of money at that particular time. But but but, six months later we are finding out that they never had the money AND THEY DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TODAY. They were supposed to solve the money shortage over the last weekend. Or by September. And even if the money comes in, they can't agree how to spend it.

Which leads me to the next big point. I don't care if the Gaytors raise ONE BILLION DOLLARS. If you still have borsters like Heavener who talk about how certain players "aren't worth the money", then all that money sits in the bank. And there is DISSENSION at GC/GG. If you go back to things that @Cribby and I posted, we said "BEWARE of the Bull Gaytors". We didn't say it would happen. SOME of them (mostly the younger ones) want to spend like drunken sailors who bought Bitcoin at $100. OTHERS of them don't publicly want to pay a bunch of money to dark-complected high school graduates. And STILL OTHERS act like "management" still has control over salaries in a tight labor market, and they are holding the line on paying more than a couple hundy K to these young punks.

Which takes us to the next point, John Ruiz. Love him or hate him, he has been the LEAD dog. I didn't say "only" dog. I said LEAD dog. Meaning, he is not constrained by ridiculous concepts of "overpayment" or "let's take a majority vote of the Hurricane Guard to determine if this player is worth paying X for". He also goes out of his way to help Zay Wong get OTHER deals for NIL. And, honestly, I would actually FEAR the Gaytors more if they could ever get organized and let someone lead the way, instead of taking endless votes on how to proceed. This is the nature of Caspino's "dysfunctional" comment. The Gaytor Collective and/or Guard can't figure out what they want to do. They plead poverty. They can't seem to figure out how to make legal payments to California high school kids. They've got "conservative" members like Heavener who outvote the more self-aware members who realize that if they don't shoot their wad for Rashada, they are fvvvvvcked.

And to top it all off, on Swampa$$ 247, they have bartender Delray Gaytor (and there is nothing wrong with working in a bar, just hear me out) giving the business to SR Gaytor, who has his family name on multiple buildings in Hogtown. This guy Delray is yapping to a multi-millionaire (billionaire?) about B-cups and D-cups (go back and read about Delray's heroics in a recent barfight, it's so inspiring, I'm sure all the Bull Gaytors will be talking about it during the next wine-and-cheese social). I'm not saying everyone has to kiss SR Gaytor's full ****hole, I'm just saying you can treat a guy like that with a bit of respect and ask some tasteful questions about the inner workings of the GG/GC on that rare occasion when a guy of his profile deigns to mix with the hoi polloi.

Alright, I'll leave it at that for now. I'm sure @RVACane will have some new red-meat screenshots for me to attack soon...

PS, don't even get me started on the financial/legal experts floating GENIUS illegal ideas on how to raise more money for GG/GC.

Motherfvckin' Crypto Gaytor...

"We need to know if the Harris twins can qualify"...

What in the actual fvck. THEY GO TO LAKE BRANTLEY. Trust me, it's one of the top high schools in Central Florida. A school from which a top CIS poster graduated #2 in his class (and #1 went to MIT).

"If the Harris twins can qualify". Give me a motherfvckin' break.

The fact that they're falling apart will steamroll if they don't get on top of it. Maybe that's what baby **** billy's letter was trying to do.

Either way, I'm here for it. Gapier is going nowhere for a while, but an FSU victory over UF just might buy Norvell some time, even in a 5-7 season.

It's funny...these Bull Gaytors are soooooo worried about overpaying for players. They didn't seem to give two sheeeeits about seven months ago when they MASSIVELY overpaid for Billy Gaypier WHEN THEY HAD NO OTHER REAL COMPETITION TO HIRE HIM (unlike when the Gaytors had to fight it out with Notre Dame to hire Urban Myth Meyer).

If Billy Gaypier had ANY self-awareness of the scam he perpetrated on the Gaytors, he would stop sending "open letters" and do something more manly, like donating $1M of his salary to one of the Gaytor sports-facility building funds. I realize he probably can't kick a million over to GG/GC to procure players, but if he just pulled a Mark Richt and made a significant good-faith effort to LEAD people by example, it would go over well with the cheap-a$$ albino Bull Gaytors.

But even that won't solve their image of being a clusterfvck. They need to do something concrete. If this class drops below 25 or so and they have a crap season, they'll be looking at a 2-3 year rebuild that will begin once they dump gapier. If they're as broke as all that, they'll be in a similar situation to FSU, cheaper to keep her.

They need to make a major hire for recruiting to cleanse the stink of repeated failure.

Yeah, I can’t believe that *******, Delray, treats a - if not “the” - major donor to his favorite team that way. This board would destroy a poster on here who did that to Soffer or Ruiz that f they visited here.

Here’s Smurphy ‘s scheme with the NIL tax to raise money - bait and switch funds in the Peter Paul way

I think a lot of this goes back to how things "used to be done". Back when only the SEC was allowed to pay kids, a rental home and a $50k/year fake job for mom was enough to get a blue chip kid to play for you. There was a lot less money involved. The SEC bag schools created the market and were able to decide what players were "worth" because nobody else had a say in the matter. Now the market has changed. More buyers=higher demand=higher price. But the old money boosters don't see it that way. They still see it as "$50k was good enough for player X in 2016, why should I have to pay $200k now?"
