Tears Gator Tears

Eh he turned out to be boring, he has to conveniently go iron his jorts every time a legit question pops up.

This was a fun experiment but there’s only room for one gator on this board and that spot has been filled.
Nah he got to bring his girlfriend, the guy who owns 85 Chick-fil-A restaurants.

OH HEAR ME! The Lord Jehovah has given unto you these fifteen... Oy. Ten! Ten commandments for all to obey!

C
An open letter to Northern Gator:

You are invited to join us to debate any topics, but I'd like to provide a brief outline of some subjects that might prove stimulating and serve as a good starting point for ongoing debate:

1. A discussion of the relative merits and resumes of our head coaches - do you feel that Billy Napier's performance in 4 years as WR Coach at Alabama exceeded Mario's 4 years as AHC/OL Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Alabama? Do you believe that Napier's 4 years (and 2 championships) at Louisiana exceed Mario's 5 years (and 2 championships) at Oregon? What is your basis for projecting any edge to Napier at Florida over Mario at Miami, other than your belief that Florida is just "better" than Miami?

2. A head-to-head comparison of our assistant coaching staffs - first, we already acknowledge that Corey Raymond is the better secondary coach. But for the other 9 positions (10 if you want to include the S&C Coach), we would like to debate each position side-by-side. Even better, we can add on a section of the debate where we compare Athletic Directors too.

3. A debate of the "athletic success" of both schools - for football, Miami starting winning national championships in the 1980s and Florida started winning SEC championships in the 1990s; we certainly acknowledge that Florida has had more basketball success, while I'm sure you would acknowledge that Miami has had more baseball success. Once we get into "Olympic sports", it might get too "inside-baseball", but that is up to you. I am prepared to discuss factual items (actual championships and trophies and whatnot) or intangible stuff (people just like us better, na-na-na), but I'd prefer to stick to more statistical and provable points. It would also be nice to go apples-to-apples, and not debate sports that the other school does not have, or time periods prior to the 1920s.

4. A frank and friendly chat about "facilities" - again, for football, it's a bit of a challenge to compare an ancient-but-owned stadium to a relatively-new-but-rented stadium, but we can try our best (BOTH of us) to be fair. For everything else (and, yes, there ARE other sports besides football which contribute to the definition of "facilities"), we can move forward on those comparisons.

5. Compare/contrast media markets and fan bases - I know, I know, this is where you'd love to bust out your racist phrases like "five rangz!", but I'm suggesting that we keep this one statistical/factual as well. Let's have a very non-racist discussion of where we see our "brands" and our "reach", as well as the various attributes of our geographical locations and other factors.

6. Let's talk about recruiting - this one should be fun...

Bonus Round - an emotional and vicious fight over whether "blue" or "green" is the superior color complement to orange and white.

Come on, Northern, you talk a big game about what a rugged debater you are, we'd love to host you (and we could even go home-and-home if Blake would allow for it).
Can we add comparing entertainment industry alumni? And sports media alumni? Cause Suzy kolber beats Erin Andrews.

You know, sometimes you meet famous people and they don’t live up to your expectations. I appreciate you coming over to show that you’re the exact person we’ve been laughing at in this thread for years. Stay classy NG.
So, you admit that I'm famous? Awesome. Unfortunately, unlike crappy movies with bad acting, nobody seems interested in paying me millions of dollars to sh*tpost.

Well, that may be how you mis(interpret) it, but for the rest of the world, we just think you're all dumb, and that's all there is to the words.
Then you are displaying your ignorance. We all know you wouldn’t walk around the south side of Chicago saying that, because you know **** well it would be interpreted the same way there

I'll give you #1. Hope springs eternal.

On #2, I realize this is your opinion, I'm not going to hammer you on it. I would simply say "until we start losing battles for all the recruits we're after" has already been happening for several months when your head coach OK's a take of Patterson. I know, I know, Rashada is going to change everything, sure. But look around, about 80-90% of the HS recruits either sign or verbal with the December class. It's June. Outside of the Rashada Hail Mary, what other recruiting battles were "won" to this point? Your fanbase is very big on "bump class", and you're 6 months out from locking in 80-90% of your bump class, and everything hinges on bag-game for one QB turning the tide.

On #3, I also won't give you a super-hard time. Development takes time. But I would also ask, have Juluke or Colbert given any PRIOR indications at PRIOR jobs that encourage you to "trust the process"? I'm not sure that it's too early to worry, and I feel your answers on #2 and #3 are similar. If we accept the answer that you can't judge development until the cake is baked, though, then that makes the generally optimistic takes Swamp 247 (recruiting class rankings and win totals) suspect, at best...
I left early and have about an hour before the gym, so I'll try to get through as many posts as I can.

Regarding #2, I don't know how taking a bad take = losing a recruiting battle, considering we won it... just against nobodies. I also don't know how "not winning recruiting battles" in June = losing either.

Regarding #3, no, neither Colbert or Juluke have given any prior indications. I just don't care about that right now. It'll either happen, or it won't. And if it doesn't, you stalkers know where to find my posts ranting about it.

Right? I’m
Is this what you wanted when you signed up? You have provided nothing but ad hominem.

Do you believe Billy Napier is a good enough head coach to win the SEC?
Are you please with the direction recruiting has gone?
Do any members of the staff concern you as to whether they're good enough to recruit and develop your players?
not sure “you guys are totally misinterpreting my casual racism and that’s your problem, not mine@, isn’t the own he thinks it is

Alright, Northern, here's one of my big "unsolved mysteries" questions (and forgive me for the long wind-up)...

Mario has been coaching for 5 years longer than Billy, fair enough. Regardless, from 2013 to 2016, they both spent 4 years at Alabama, Mario as Assistant Head Coach, Offensive Line Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator, and Billy as Wide Receivers Coach. Mario was named the National Recruiter of the year once by 247 and finished 2nd another year and his OL won the inaugural Joe Moore award for the toughest and most physical line in the country. I am not aware of any comparable distinctions for Billy, though the Alabama WRs were fantastic during his four years.

Both coaches then became OCs for a year, before getting head coaching jobs for 4 years each. Mario won two PAC-12 championships, Billy won twon Sun Belt championships. So in many ways, the career trajectories of Mario and Billy have been similar since 2013, but with Mario always being at a higher level (not an opinion, just an objective fact).

Now the question, why do Gator fans think that Billy was a comparable hire to Mario, or that he will win any head-to-head battles against Mario (either recruiting or on-field)? As just an example of this nonsense, I've seen posts on the Gator boards that claim a Billy recruiting victory over Mario for Knijeah Harris, who was a Manny offeree who Mario stopped recruiting. I'm just not seeing any reason for optimism as to Billy being a better coach than Mario, at least until you guys can try to prove it on the field in 2024 or 2025.
Mario won two PAC-12 championships in the worst P5 football conference and did nothing with them. If you win your conference and don't make the CFP, that's underachieving. The dude's second PAC-12 championship team also lost to Iowa State in its bowl game.

If you win the Sun Belt, you aren't making the CFP no matter what. Billy didn't underachieve with his seasons, and both of his teams won their bowl games. Mario is also 9 years older, so. I don't really care about the rest of this post. It'll happen, or it won't. I'm not making definitives on either before the first full season and recruiting cycle are done.

We’re all dumb. You’re the most delusional group there is. It’s dumb as ****. We don’t think you’re a blue blood elite program deserving of that respect you think you deserve so we’re dumb.

You suck off the Saban SEC nipple as if that elevates your program to an elite level. While neither program has done much in years, our football program is far more historically significant than yours. You don’t see us ACC **** swallowing like you do on the SEC.

And we made far better staff hires this go around than you did with the exception of you getting Raymond. He’ll be gone in a year. You have a g5 staff - something you’ve made fun of us and others like FSU for in the past - but now this is different because it’s UiF. Just like NIL sucked and you were stroking Saban for complaining. Now with Rashada, you guys stepped up with money and it’s all good. We don’t complain about that. Our complaint was a past system where SEC bag schools benefited. We’re consistent. You guys change the rules to accommodate your narratives constantly - even the transfer portal. You were calling us Transfer Portal U until Mullet started using it well. Then it’s a good thing.
I thought you were supposed to be the official? So much for that lol.

Nah, you're the most delusional group. Every other fan base but you knows it, so you guys making this obsession thread for a program who views you as its, like, 4th-most important rivalry is adorable. Nobody respects your fan base or cares that you won five national championships--probably because you never shut up about it.

Uhh...what about Saban? We hate Alabama. We hate every SEC team not named the University of Florida. The only time you'll ever catch me rooting for a team like Bama is if it's playing Georgia, Clemson, or some other team that I hate even more. I don't know where you got the idea that it's all brotherly love or that some other SEC school's success is perceived as shared, but that's pure fiction.

That's a lot of crying in that last paragraph, though. Tissue?

When did I say you promised anything? I just wondered if you were any better than the garden variety trolls we deal with on the regular.

Are you planning on being this confrontational all the time?

Your answers indicate you at least have the capability to be objective. What is your realistic expectation for 2022? Vegas has you at 7.5 wins. Do you go over or under?

FSU is also at 7.5. Despite your dismal second half of last season, I can't picture them doing better than you in 2022. Do you think FSU will be competitive when you play them?
Expectations: 8 because I think it's *possible*, and I want to feel like I can enjoy this season heading into it.

FSU: No.

Miami has an all-time winning record against both UF and FSU.
Miami has more National Championships than both UF and FSU.
And the "Seminoles" ironically committed $500M towards world-class Super Bowl/CFP upgrades for our home stadium!

Hot takes.

Also, Eli Manning has Super Bowl Rings and is HOF, Cooper works a 9-5 job. Perfect analogy lol.
Congratulations.

Please find where I disputed that Miami has more football success than UF or FSU? Oh, that's right. I didn't.

The Cooper Manning analogy is simply to illustrate that being the more successful "brother" doesn't change the fact that you are still the Little Brother. You are--age, renown, pretty much everything outside of football, etc. That is the case in the present, if you win 5 more national championships--foreverz. Mock Cooper Manning all you want, though. It doesn't change the point.

The Interwebz also says that Seminole Tribe statement is wrong-o: https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/...lphins-500-million-stadium-renovation-8659288.

Thats alot of words for "I get pegged by a guy in a Gator mask to feel alive"
Or you're just hoping that I do that so that you can live vicariously through me. One of us thought of this imaginative idea for a, like, totes funny insult, and it wasn't me.
