One of the first movies where...you think it's over, everything has calmed down....
AND AN EFFIN' HAND COMES OUT OF THE GRAVE!

Yup, then all the other movies. Like Friday the 13th copied it. It also was one of the first movies along with the exorcist, that wasn't just like dracula or frankenstein wandering around in a spooky castle.

Good catch wit the omen. I forgot that came out before Carrie. But ya those 3 movies moved the bar up for "horror films". They were a lot more entertaining, imo, than the old Creature of the frankenstein, dracula, the mummy, etc. type movies lol.
Those three are actually the type of horror movies I like. It began all of the supernatural movies.

Maybe @TheOriginalCane remembers. We could definitely do a list.

2021:
Marco Wilson - 4th round - as a rookie, 13 starts, 2 passed defensed
Shawn Davis - 5th round - as a rookie, he was waived from the team that drafted him, and released from the practice squad; he signed to another practice squad and played in one game in December

2020:
CJ Henderson - 1st round - #9 overall pick, given a 4-year fully-guaranteed contract, traded away a year later for a 5th round pick and a 3rd round pick

2019:
CJ Gardner-Johnson - 4th round - sucker-punched by multiple teammates AND opponents

2018:
Duke Dawson - 2nd round - did not appear in a single game for the team who drafted him, and was traded one year later for a 6th round pick; out of football; total career interceptions - zero-point-zero
Marcell Harris - 6th round - biggest play of rookie season was a late hit on Mitchell Trubisky; waived after a year; has caught on with the 49ers, but has been converted to linebacker

2017:
Marcus Maye - 2nd round - did OK for the J-E-T-S-Jets-Jets-Jets, but several injuries; did make it to a second contract, but with the Saints
Quincy Wilson - 2nd round - even though a starting spot opened up when PBJ P-Rob left in free agency, coaching great Chuck Pagano put the rook at 3rd on the depth chart, and later healthy-scratched Wilson multiple times; after three years, traded to the J-E-T-S for the last (non-comp) pick of the 6th round, and was waived in-season; practice squad player for the Giants; reserve/future contract with the Phins
Teeeezzzz Tabor - 2nd round - cut by the team that drafted him after 2 years; practice squad ever since

2016:
Vernon Hargreaves - 1st round - even though the team that drafted him exercised the 5th year option, he was cut mid-season in his 4th year; has not done much with two successive teams; most famous play is running onto the field during Super Bowl LVI, despite being in active for the game
Keanu Neal - 1st round - in fairness, he made one Pro Bowl and got a 5th year rookie contract extension; he then had season-ending injuries in back-to-back seasons; got to a (one-year) second contract with a new team, and was switched to linebacker; highlight of his career was ending the career of fellow Gaytor Jordan Reed on a helmet-to-helmet hit

2014:
Jaylen Watkins - 4th round - released by the team that drafted him after one year; largely practice squad since

2013:
Matt Elam - 1st round - decent first year, terrible thereafter, drafting team did not pick up his 5th year and let him waslk after he was arrested; has played in Canada, XFL, and the IFL since then
Josh Evans - 6th round - played 3 seasons for the team that drafted him, cut before 4th season; last played in the AAF

2011:
Ahmad Black - 5th round - cut midway through his third season with the team that drafted him, did not play again

Tiers of how they performed imo

solid careers:

Haden
Jenkins
Lito Sheppard
Reggie Nelson (when he was in Oakland)
Marcus Maye
Chauncey Gardner

average:

Keanu Neal
Major Wright

Haden - 2010
Jenkins - who? you mean the linebacker Jelani Jenkins?
Sheppard - 2002
Nelson - 2007
Maye - 2017, fair
Gardner-Johnson - 2019, fair

I'm not saying that Miami has lit the world on fire at this position either, but you've got 5 guys with solid careers, only 2 of whom have been drafted in the last dozen years.
