IPA’s with the hops are kind of sour, no?I use cheap pilsners or supper hoppy IPAs. Nothing sweet or sour.

Most are bitter. It makes a good contrast with a salty seasoning rub.IPA’s with the hops are kind of sour, no?
For me, the key is patting the skin dry and using a nice seasoning rub. A chicken not seasoned properly is gonna be crappy no matter how you cook it.I've never been impressed with beer can chicken. Huli huli, berbere, or even spicy Korean fire chicken are better to me. Maybe I just need the seasoning.
No, although I did the fire chicken on a spatchcocked bird the last time.Yeah but do you cook those in a funky way - like shove a previously buried clay kimchi pot up the chicken’s *** and bake it?
As long as its anything in a can you can try it
Which outdoors store? Bass pro?View attachment 141692
I do mine on a contraption I bought from an outdoors store. Pour the beer inside the tube add some garlic and lemons and let it go for about an hour fifteen. Shove a lemon wedge in the neck hole to keep the steam in as well.
Yea anyone that goes after the kid ought to have a shoe up his ***...guess we all have the same opinion on the Wilsons (tho I think it is ****ed for going at a kid for a mistake he made in a game).

Nah they’re 50 gallon drums sitting on a campfire..I thought their ovens are usually outdoors on the porch hooked up to propane?
I’ve never been outside of NOLA there and that was in the 90’s. You must’ve driven by some crazy set ups in the bayou?Nah they’re 50 gallon drums sitting on a campfire..
Oh yea..they take a 50 gallon drum ,cut it in half and put a hinge on it...bingo..new grill.I’ve never been outside of NOLA there and that was in the 90’s. You must’ve driven by some crazy set ups in the bayou?
Yeah... um... exactly what kind of meats are they cooking?Oh yea..they take a 50 gallon drum ,cut it in half and put a hinge on it...bingo..new grill.
Believe it or not the Cajuns around here can cook some mean meats on these grills...
Gator...Duck...fish...Wild boar...deer...pretty much anything you can find in the swamp.Yeah... um... exactly what kind of meats are they cooking?

I always thought that Gator was tough as shoe leather to chew but they cook it and it almost melts in your mouth...Same thing with wild boar.
If you ever end up in Hawaii, Maui Mike's has the best open fire roasted whole chickens I've ever eaten.I've never been impressed with beer can chicken. Huli huli, berbere, or even spicy Korean fire chicken are better to me. Maybe I just need the seasoning.
It’s called Half Hitched up here in the panhandle, but I would just about bet Bass Pro or any other outdoor shop would have one.Which outdoors store? Bass pro?
