Tears Gator Tears

Imagine cheating to try to land a kid from SEATTLE. Because all you need to woo a Seattle kid to come to Hogtown, FLA is an early jump on your competition...
Is that the linebacker they chased out in Sammamish, WA like Jorn, Richt chased that QB?

Excuse my ignorance but wth is a one-year show cause????

It's like double-secret probation in Animal House.

"A show-cause penalty is an administrative punishment ordering that any NCAA penalties imposed on a coach found to have committed major rules violations will stay in effect against that coach for a specified period of time—and could also be transferred to any other NCAA-member school that hires the coach while the sanctions are still in effect."

Usually, a show-cause penalty causes other schools to steer clear of hiring that coach. I guess Mullet won't get called about the Texas job now.

Also, this is when coaches tend to jump to the NFL. See, generally, Dennis Erickson, Pete Carroll, etc.

It was a RB

Tre'Shaun was an ATH. And we all know that the Gaytors like to recruit that "Percy Harvin" position (also known as the Kadarius Toney position).

Other than that, not sure. Now we know why the Gaytors fail to land Florida RBs, they are too busy flying out to Seattle (early) to chase talent.

Here's my interpretation.

The time period for most of the "penalties" fell before Covid.

There is one limitation on coaching visits which looks like it could get pushed back (due to Covid).

The "show-cause" is interesting, but it's only 1 year. It also doesn't seem like the Gaytors will fire Mullet over the show-cause issue.

All told, a whole lot of nothing.

They’re not lying about LSU.

True.

But look at them JUSTIFYING their own cheating "because LSU cheats more".

And also notice how the Gaytors have never accused Miami of paying for recruits that UF wants.

Meanwhile, we have multiple insiders who know the specifics of what happened with UF, the Palmetto coach, and Jason Marshall, and the Gaytor fans won't even talk about THAT issue.

The Gaytors cheat, the Gaytors pay. And the MINUTE that they get caught on even the most minor technicality, they scream to the high heavens about LSU and UGa and Bama.

Pathetic.

"Miami was paying for strippers and party boats".

Nope. The NCAA never even said that. They said that Nevin Shapiro did that, as he was trying to generate clients for his agent business by entertaining ALREADY-SIGNED Miami student-athletes.

But "MIAMI" was not paying for strippers and party boats in order to recruit high school student-athletes.
