Believe it only counts if the kid enrolls

You are wrong. NCAA recently changed the rules to penalize schools that try to roll the dice with dicey academic kids. At this time, kids who sign LOIs or FAAs who fail to qualify count as counters. This is why we didn't sign Moise to an LOI or FAA in February, when he was not yet qualified.

I can’t see in VIP but they must be roasting Knox for missing on another RB, this time to Louisville.

Knox is currently trending on Twitter in FL if that gives you any indication of how they feel about him...

I stand corrected then. Mullen is really bad at roster management.

Yeah, it's not just the basics of roster management, it is also LOI and expectation management.

These days, if you have a kid who is not qualified on National Signing Day, you can't let him sign. You have to convince the kid that you are doing everyone a favor, and manage the expectations (along with "what needs to be done").

If that means the Gaytors lose a kid to Marshall, who might be willing to take a chance on a kid who isn't yet qualified, so be it.

Instead, this is either the third or fourth academic IC loss for the Gaytors (not sure how the Bahamian kid who "couldn't get his student visa" counts).

And, yes, everyone is entitled to their opinions on whether Miami "screwed" Moise.

The kid was a silent commit for them and then decided to choose Louisville...they are angry, to say the least 😂

So silent that everyone knew and everyone is ****ed.

Hey, was his recruiter that same coach who was SURPRISED when Avantae picked UM? Because if so, I have some swamp land (and a bridge) I want to sell to that coach...

I think that was probably Torrian Gray. This is Greg Knox, the RB Coach, who is like 1 for a zillion in getting a RB. He makes Patke look like Corey Raymond.

I don’t think we “screwed” Moise, he didn’t hold up his end of the bargain by getting his grades right. The part none of us know on this situation is what the communication was behind the scenes on the subject. If moise and his family felt “screwed” we would’ve heard about it by now.

The family has given that indication, someone posted it a few weeks ago.

I understand no LOI/FAA for Moise in February. But since that time, he has qualified. And we gave his spot to Walker.

Just being honest, not taking sides here. I understand all the angles, but someone is left out, and someone feels hurt.

If you sign a LOI and dont enroll, Oh Well is how the NCAA looks at it. Wardrick Wilson didnt qualify so he counts.

Lmao... if we're being real Id rather go to school in Louisville than Gainesville. Louisville is a great city, my wifes fam is from there. We go up there at least 3 times a year. My father in law works for Louisville Slugger. He played baseball for UL in the early 70s and had a stint in the minor leagues. Until recently he lived on ft laud Beach and commuted back and forth but he had to move there permanently in January

Been to Louisville twice and it’s definitely better than Gainesville lol

It has never been established, definitively, that Wardrick Wilson failed to qualify solely for academic reasons.

I'm not sure why you felt the need to reiterate what I already said, and said better than you can, that LOI/FAA signees who fail to qualify under the NCAA sliding scale are lost ICs.

Why don't you spend your time more productively, like finding that post where I said blueshirting had been "eliminated".

Wardrick was considered an International Student and for international students, part of qualifying is the ability to get a Student Visa, which he didnt. He couldnt even enroll in a JUCO. Hate to see it for the kid because I blame his HS and UF compliance for the lack of oversight.

BUT UF aint getting that spot back.
