I dont agree. Ferman said there was a verbal agreement and no signed contract on Saturday overnight he told them he wanted a detailed contract by 4 pm Sun . When that did not happen or Al saw a contract AL pulled out. Proof of the fact that Al was interviewed on Saturday by PSU is all over the place. You think Golden lets players decommit without saying something unless something was going on?? It was his Alma Mater its understandable he would want to get feelers about this. When he saw someone at Penn State was leaking info he was compromised and ****ed off and that could have helped his decision to pullout. After 4 PM sunday is when he announced he is staying.
As a coach you want to do these things in private so that you dont hurt the school you are at or embarass the school you say no to. This happens all the time. AL had had enough by Sunday . He keeps his recruiting class intact and moves on. Its business . He is no different than any coach and IMO more moral and ethical than alot of them
If he wins enough games and the team improves its forgotten . If not he will leave anyway by being let go.
