Really nice game by the staff in general. Dubberly threw well for the first few innings. Federman looked good with five Ks in three innings. And then Palmquist is unhittable. Needed that.

I like Federman out of the bullpen. He really solves our middle relief. Smith pitched really well yesterday also.

Yeah Smith throws pretty hard and he had good reviews coming out of the juco ranks apparently so I think with enough reps he'll be pretty good for us

I think the pitching is just going to get better as the guys settle into their roles. I'm still very concerned about the hitting.

Interested to see Dubberly. Interested as to why Jake Smith isn't getting a chance to start. I understand he's a 2-pitch pitcher right now, but you can limit him to ~5 innings and mitigate some of that impact.

SS has been excellent defensively, but getting eaten up at the plate. Hope to see the bats attack fastballs in the zone today and lay off some of that spin they've been swinging at early in counts.
