Game 18: 3/11/25 UCF

I just got home from the game. I'm a casual baseball fan, but I do understand the game and situational baseball. The first thing I noticed was UCF was a physically bigger team. UM looked like a high school team compared to UCF. I know size isn't quite as important as football, but **** was it noticeable. UM just looked not fundamentally sound. Simple throws were errant and harder than they needed to be. Players not covering bases allowing runs to score or runners to advance. The player alignments in the field seemed like a head scratcher at times. There was also zero emotion in the dugout. UCF, meanwhile, looked like they were having a Frat Party. Oh, and Jimenez was jacked up the whole game. You could tell he wanted to put it on UM. Overall, it was frustrating to watch.

The JD hire is absolutely hilarious when you think he was being asked to step down(fired) as the pitching coach yet somehow his friends like Arod got him the HC gig…. Amazing.
Absolutely pathetic athletic department/Administration to allow this to happen. We need Rad put out to pasture and bring in a top notch AD for this next hire. Wishful thinking I guess.

This is not a Rad issue (although he may indeed s*ck), it is more about the commitment of the school and it's boosters. College baseball has grown significantly over the years with more schools actually giving a rip about the sport with new commitments to scholarships, infrastructure and coaching support. Meanwhile, UM's upgrades are about developing a new milk shake.

I don’t follow our baseball program as much, so haven’t heard this before. So, if I understand correctly, you’re saying that JD was about to be ****canned but we promoted him to HC?!?!?

Was this before or after Gino stepped down. Like holy **** I thought he was a terrible hire from the get go but this makes it even worse.
