Game 12: 3/2/25 Florida 14-7 W (9-3)

That last couple of days have been rough to say the least but man some of the fan support is just brutal.

Yes we lost the first two… yes, hitting has been blah… yes, pitching has kept us in it for sure but it’s not like we are getting blown out. They are ranked for a reason…

I have to believe some in this group have played baseball at high level and understand baseball is a sport a failure. You can tell by those constructive posts. I also can tell we have some arm chair quarterbacks in here as well, who just want to bash because they could never mash!!!

Long way to go, I am still hoping we can compete when time comes. Maybe just maybe we learn from this and when conference time comes we are better for it.

Let’s root these players on, as that is all we got for the next 40 some games.

Now coaches they are open season.

Their starter has potential to be the best on the staff. Our righties are in for some uncomfortable AB’s. Hoping they come out slow and maybe we sneak a few across and then hold on. But if he’s on…yikes.

Or maybe there’s some of us that aren’t sunshine pumping blowhards who both played at a high level AND are diehard canes that know what we are looking at and disgusted at what this once storied program has become! All because of another “nepotism” hire at UM.

It’s a flat out disgrace.

I’ve been avoiding airing my thoughts so far this season but it’s gross seeing the sunshine pumping from a certain few who clearly either don’t know what they’re looking at or prefer to turn the blind eye and award/reward participation trophies.

**** this team but most of all **** JD and the administration for allowing this. I’m in Manny mode. Lose and lose a lot to expedite a chance to return this program to glory. ***** an absolute joke at this point!

I woke up like this too, I''m having a Sazerac @ Tibbys in Altamonte. Then off to Handlebars in Mt.Dora to continue my mission to black out before 1pm.

Yeah, right on cue. It’s early. Florida is really good. Nothing to worry about yet.

Rinse, repeat for the last, what, 17 years? And it always ends the same.

You will not find a group of Miami fans harder on their program than baseball.

Understandably, fans remember the days when Miami lived in Omaha and have that engrained in their minds. Back then, maybe 20 teams were actively trying to compete and you could pencil your program into the Supers if you were trying and in a good climate.

That world is gone forever. No more should Miami fans expect to be in Omaha every year than Wichita State fans should.

Florida is a different tier of program. It's not a debate. They're just better. The SEC is a different tier of conference. It's just a better baseball conference.

Should it be hopeless to ever win a series there? No, it shouldn't and I agree the program isn't where we should expect given location and NIL considerations.

I think Miami should win the series at Florida once every ten years. They should not get swept most years. They should win the series at home half the time.

Right now, we aren't there and Florida has better arms, better offense, better defense, better facilities, better manager, better infrastructure.

If any fan who has supported the program for decades feels like they should win more than they lose to Florida, I respect that. I don't agree, but I respect it.

What I believe is it shouldn't be hopeless in any game against Florida. Right now, I think we lose every single game against Florida before we even start the game. That's my criticism.
