Torres and Williams way over matched at the plate with this caliber of pitching. We have a horrendous 2 strike approach at the plate. Cleveland is not the closer of this team or any team in any conference in the ncaa . Hugus pitched his balls off and was gassed and JD brought him back out just to walk a guy and take him out . Look at the demeanor difference between O Sullivan and JD. Sully is into the game and JD looks defeated with his apple IPAD on the top of the dugout looking on indeed I hope . Frustrating to watch a historic program turn into whatever you want to call this .
 
The pitching is pretty good. The hitting isn’t. We saw it against FAU. I’d start looking at alternatives. Williams is overmatched. He can’t be hitting when we have to sub him out in RF in the 6th inning.

Thought him and Laz running Hugus out there for the 6th at 90 pitches was a crap call. It set the tone for the inning as he walks the first batter. Then the wheels come off. Hugus just had 2 high stress innings in 4th and 5th and escaped. Start fresh. Again…no feel.

Between last season, the portal and this series, JD needs to go. It's early and things could change, but last season was a terribly coached team across the board. Not acceptable, bad. I don’t see it. I saw Rad at a game last season, he better get out there more and realize he needs to start quietly searching now. He should already have a list like any AD, especially since he just searched. If he is still around. I am old enough to remember and see all the NC's. In both sports.

Haven't they dominated us since like 2009... From 2010 to now, we're like 13-40 against them.

They surpassed us a decade ago. Maybe 15 years ago in all seriousness. Since that 08 let down in Omaha they have owned us as well as started to dominate the state

Only way this gets fixed is a complete revamp of the baseball program. Nuke it from orbit and ban anyone who was associated with any of the last three regimes from the program.
