Funny Story (Duke)

I recently ran into a friend his brother is an NFL scout and we started talking about DUKE, and he lit up saying he watched Duke in the St playoffs and was very impressed with his ability to stop and start on a dime...his stiff arm is as good as gets at that age...he said Duke reminded him of Chris Johnson with his speed and vision...

People know who Duke is,...soon everyone will. The kid is special

I agree with Duke being special, but he has nowhere near the speed of chris johnson

Very few have C. Johnson's speed, Duke's is very good though and I would state he runs with more power than C. Johnson.

That's impossible to say. Duke's only game experience is against high schoolers, while C Johnson runs against grown men in the NFL

Reminds me of UM recruiting Marshall Faulk as a corner.

The SDSU coaches that recruited Faulk (Sean Payton and Curtis Johnson) are glad that Miami never offered him at tailback. History may have been much different.

Could you imagine? We would have won at least another NC in the early 90s.

You can still get a sense of the way he runs, he seems more physical to me.

You're right, must've been Erickson. I'm starting to misremember stuff I wasn't even around for.

There was definitely chatter about Duke having a very high ceiling at the corner spot, but his senior season pretty much closed the lid on that thought. Kid was unreal with the ball in his hands.

I remember the idiots on ESPN claimed he was a CB all the way and no way he would play RB because of his size. Until they actually went and watched him play. They changed their tune real quick LOL
