To be fair I don’t think X was his first read. Horton ran a whip, which is a good counter to the tape of him catching that goal line quick slant. However like most this game….he was covered

I still think X should have caught it

People really complaining that we're up 10 at the half in a rivalry game. Yall focus on records too much. It's Miami vs FSU. Just win. If we double up the score from first half ,we win 34-14, which is pretty close to the spread. I'll take that.

Terrible half and we’re up 10, hopefully the team comes out with a spark in the second half.

That’s still obliterating them. Texas beat a bad OU team 34-3. FSU’s 13-1 unconquered team beat us by 7 last year. Granted 2023 Miami was better than 2024 FSU, but they were predicted to win by similar margins.

I do too once you get up 3 scores they will force something on offense

If we scrap the screens against press man and have better communication on the OL we should blow them out. Defense has been good (not those broken plays) considering they might be one of the worst in Miami history. Testament to how bad FSU really is
 
Let's get the ball out quicker to the TEs and get some YAC. Move the chains then hit the big chunk plays as they wear down.

And for ***** sake, can we run outside the guards?

People honestly need to stfu and just watch the game. Half this board is brain dead. We’re up 17-7 against our arch rival. Ik fsu only has one win, but this is a huge game. We’ve dominated this game besides one flucky run. We will be just fine

Their DBs are legit good and we are not used to it since we must be blowing through ours every day in practice.

Get the TEs involved.
 
I just don’t understand why we went away from running the ball. FSU doesn’t seem to care if we run all over them as long as they stop the pass

Know that saying "there but by the grace of god go I"? If Ward picks FSU over UM, they are likely 6-1 or 7-0, we are a 1-6 team. Cristobal is the OL guru, Ward sacked 3 times. After 3 years he’s somehow managed to make the defense worse than a DNofrio D. And don’t give me that “we just need more talent". Year 3 is supposed to be a breakout year for coaches who can recruit well. And with one of the biggest NIL budgets, this is inexcusable. He can’t coach, he needs a loaded roster. He failed on the defensive side. Again DBs aside, Kiki was a decent stop gap last year but it was obvious he should not have gone into this season as the starter.
