FSU LIVE BOT Meeting - Livestream link

Here's the one thing I can guarantee you....win or lose this entire legal process is going to be lengthy. It's good that those inbred hicks are starting the process right away, but this is going to be complicated especially since ESPN/Disney are involved.

The fact these hearings are all taking place in the State of Florida gives them/us/everyone the best chance of actually winning since the state politicians have already declared war on Disney.

For now, just sit back and watch. This is going to make the wait for a portal QB seem instantaneous so whatever word in the English language reflects patience on steroids.....exercise that.

True, the schools left typically haven’t been the best at recruiting but do decent okay on the field. There’s no big brand left though. Basketball wise it’s still a good conference.

I was more so looking at it from a media rights perspective. Big 12 schools are going to be receiving about $51 million. Annually…number may change with the addition of the pac teams recently. I think ACC schools only receive around $35-$45 million. Plus the big 12 deal is up in 2030-2031 so they will have the opportunity to renegotiate again before the ACC can even do it once.

IMO the big 12 has a better chance at existing come 2030 than the ACC does making it the default third p3 conference
Understand but if their rating suck their next deal which is only a few years away could be a down deal

What is said was the lead lawyer was a tallahassee yokel. This guy ashhurn. FSU undergrad, FSU law school. Tallahassee office.

Not exactly the credentials of justice louis brandeis

Oh lord...

There is a reason why any good law firm in any good state has an OFFICE in the state capital.

And there are valid reasons for listing an office IN THE SAME COUNTY OR DISTRICT where the court sits when you are filing a complaint.

If you think that Ashburn is the intellectual legal architect of that complaint...well, that's not how big law firms work.

I tried to tell people...

What the ACC "should" do is to invite UCF and USF and Houston. Massive TV markets. Let the Big 12 have the west coast.

My good man, was curious why the Facepalm when I asked about UM joining lawsuit. Dumb idea? Just curious on your thoughts if you want to expound. Thank you sir.
It was about the petition idea. I mean have at it but yeah Miami board would be like now we know what fans want? Nah they know.

Didn’t they know what fans wanted before Herbstreit embarrassed them publicly? Maybe they are, at times, swayed into action by PUBLIC displays? I think in MOST cases, petitions don’t serve as a way for folks to let entity know what they want, its to put pressure on that entity to get what that entity is not inclined to do WITHOUT some type of external pressure? Thats my 2 cents but i could be wrong. Wouldn’t be the first time.

Show me the first petition that worked on this and I’ll give you a lollipop. It’s been years since online petitions existed and they’ve now been devalued completely and it’s a world different than having the most high profile analyst in college football talk about how lame your program is on national TV on the biggest college football show broadcast that then gets Press attention everywhere, which was also a stunt created intentionally by a reigning board member

It won’t hurt but won’t help. You’re acting like just because Miami hasn’t been public and has been political it automatically means they aren’t planning and back channeling. They definitely were months ago, things got weird for awhile with pac implosion. Not sure where they are now but again things fundamentally changed especially if somehow they didn’t know about the ESPN opt out in 2027

You can do whatever you want man just my opinion I support you either way I’m just not signing a petition that does nothing. Honestly I think you’d be better off with every person signing a petition instead writing the Hurricane club and Dan directly. Not that they will read it but more people will notice it in that office for whatever little that might be worth.

Fair point. But the guys in the "state capital" office are usually political dudes, not necessarily the absolute best litigators in the state.

agreed.

say what you want about the transactional capacity of GT .... no one one that office is going to be lead counsel in a jury trial and make everyone forget about roy black, richard banick, and jb spence.

Dude there’s bias of course but I know you watch Fox News now from this and act like they don’t have a bias either 😎
Honestly dude I watch none of that at all... I really stopped watching network/cable news years ago....
looking shifty i can see you GIF by David Firth
