FSU bringing out legends for its camp

Welp, there's some positives I see; FSU is back to copying what we do...or at least try to. Lol at any of their famous legends. The only two FSU guys I have mad love and respect for are Dunn and Brooks...everyone else can kick rocks.

Got to throw Deion in the mix but that is for all games against players not called Playmaker.

Owen Carney & Nadab Joseph were there today... Lol.

Yeah, Carney left with an offer. Said Jimbo told him FSU wants to take 3-4 DEs. I assumed that Jimbo was telling him that to give him the hint to jump on the offer now because it wont be there comes years end.

Never heard of Nadad Joseph but apparently he goes to Miami Edison, is a 6'3 DB and is currently committed to LSU. Anyone got any intel on him?

Corey Simon may have been their best DT during their run in the 80s / 90s (out of Pompano Beach Ely)....

If I remember, he was pretty good with the Eagles, too....

He looked like a true DT - a lot of their other DTs weren't so big...

Recently they've had some good ones, though....

I could see Derrick Brooks, Deion, etc. The problem is, so many of their "stars" busted out in the pros.

Simon was good, but again the problem with FSU stars is name recognition and charisma. Beyond Deion, Brooks and maybe Charlie Ward (most kids today may know him more for basketball than football) they don't have those guys in their alumni. Maybe a Devonta Freeman could show up sho has some charisma but not a star. Miami can roll these guys out in waves. Lewis, Irvin, Shockey, Duke, Sapp. Romberg not a star but a great charismatic speaker. Can still roll out Vilma, Dorsey, Highsmith, Bratton, Bennie Blades. Ed Reed and Andre Johnson will probably retire and be available soon. Reed in particular is a legend with many Louisiana kids and could help sway some of those. Jim Kelly is tight with Richt and could join in if completely recovered from his cancer treatment. And probably a host of names I can't think of right now. But fact is no other school can match the star power in even if they have similar amount of NFL alumni.
Hester, Beason, Greg Olson, Jimmy Graham.

Its a tough call. Go to Miami for a weekend and hang out with legends. Or spend a Wednesday in Trailerhassee getting coached up by Peter Warrick. You may even have the once in a lifetime opportunity to sit in that nifty little golf cart with Jimbo while he crosses his legs like a woman. Coin flip decision if you ask me.

U think that's why Jimbo's broad chose to be rag dolled by UF players?

When I see Peter Warricks name, I think Dillards! I still laugh about that Dumbazz wrecking his Heisman chances.

That was what led to Spurrier's Free Shoes University comment, right?

No the Free shoes comment was in the wake of a scandal. I was told by a former player on the Team, one of the stores Foot Locker I think, was giving out free shoes to the football team. The players had to all get down to the store and collect them. Happened in the mid 90's 93 or 94. This player happened to be with a girl when they knocked on his door and didn't get to the store for his free shoes.
