FSU has been the benefactor of Golden's incompetence. Even Radio Shannon beat them and he was as incompetent as they came. Golden was on a different level of incompetent and it didn't help that he had several space chimps running various positions as his coaches. Now, now FSU gets to see a real staff. FSUs history has always been beat Miami when it's down. 95-99 (Pell Grant Scandal) 09-15 (Shalala Scandal)

Now the gloves are off; let's see how they do when talent and coaching meet up.

Randy beat some bad FSU teams. He wouldn't have beaten the Noles the last 5 years. No way, no how. Randy is part of the reason FSU pulled away from us talent wise. Golden stunk, but the FSU teams he faced were far better that what Bowden rolled out his last few years. Had Bowden stuck around, even Al freaking Golden beats him a couple times. FSU was in a downward spiral under Bowden.

Look at their Defensive rankings. In fact, look at the last 30 years Defensive rankings. A QB is obviously important but this isn't the NFL, you need Defense and a running game. With your theory, Miami should be in the playoffs with Kaaya projecting to go in the 1st round. That isn't happening.

This is true Bowden did not recruit like Fisher I don't care what the rankings say. When Fisher took over he was recruiting a different kind of animal like Bama......are main comp for recruits is Bama right now which is good but if Bama beats us for kids it's useless trying to beat fsu.....we need more sfla savages more first rounders like juedy

You're both right but as 901 said, check the defensive rankings of those teams.

Tebow/Leak led team were top 10 in run defense, sacks, and points per game in 06. Tebow had his best year statistically in 07', 55 total TD(32 passing 23 rushing), yet UF only won 9 games because their defense took a dive. The defense improved in 08' ranking top 10 in ppg, INTs, and YPG when they won the NC. Tebow had his worst year statistically as a starter in 08-09 but they still won the NC ranking top 10 in run D, pass D, YPG, and INTs. Every other team that won a NC after that had a top 10 defense with the exception of Auburn, because Cam was so amazing, and OSU, because of their run game.

FSU and their fans are garbage.

Make no mistake, Jimbo is the Les Miles of the ACC (who he funnily enough is dying to replace). Top flight talent. Subpar results. No reason at all they should've gotten embarrassed like they did against the mighty two and three stars of Oregon. No way they should've gotten whooped by Houston and their gang of two stars.

It is equally inexcusable that they went through a Randy Shannon and Al Golden era where they were able to literally poach the top talent out of our backyard and only have 1 championship to show for it. If you were to tell me that our chief instate rival would have one of the worst three coach stretches in NCAA history, be on probation, and not be able to lock up the top talent in their own backyard for **** near twenty years, and we'd only come out of it with 1 championship, I'm not sure I'd be very satisfied with those results.

They're like some virgins who just got some trim for the first time, but failt to realize that their only getting laid bc the real OG's been on lock down. They'll learn soon enough.
