I'd pass on Beck. i get the argument in favor of him, but I think Nickel is the real deal, I think he is the future, and you risk Nickel either looking elsewhere or, more likely, rotting on the bench for the year. Beck to me is not elite, so is it to go 9-3 instead of 8-4? I'd let Nickel start and see what he can do. The " learn from the veteran" narrative is overplayed. They learn by playing.

Give it a few months.
Any concerns that Beck and the WRs will only be able to throw together for about 4 months where Cam has almost 9 months? Seems like that extra time with the offense in general went a long way toward SD trusting Cam with the offense this season.

Maybe Beck just being here and around the guys and coaches will be enough.

It's probably a legitimate concern if we're bringing in a guy with limited experience. But Beck is going into year 5 and has like 2k total snaps under his belt while playing in massive games. Should be fine.

It’s not like we have an army. It’s Emory, Judd (2nd year), and Luke (freshman)
It wouldn't be crazy if Emory decided to look elsewhere if Beck came here. Been sitting for two years and the starting position is currently wide open. Incoming true freshman is the shiny new toy. If he doesn't get the nod now, he probably realizes he likely never will.

Not that I think he'll get a ton of offers if he declares but if I'm him I feel a lot better about being able to beat out a guy like Keyone at FIU or whoever the fudge is the QB at FAU.

If Beck comes then maybe he's okay riding the bench next year in the event the Beck injury recovery doesn't go as expected? But idk, not crazy to think Emory decides to test the waters.

Because hed go top 5 right now. Kid can go to Bethune & hes going top 5 whenever he comes out. Doesnt matter where he plays
Ok, so why didnt he just come to Miami if thats the case whats the point of going to OSU then transferring after one year especially after passing up playing w the best QB in the country, basically everyone knew b4 he committed to OSU that Cam>Howard n he still chose OSU smh

Because he will have a better QB if Beck signs than he will at OSU. It's also home.
Wait im confused didnt Cam Ward call this kid to basically convince him to team up together @ Miami this year? so he'll transfer back to play with Carson Beck but told Cam Ward "No thanks" lmao make it make it sense. I could maybe believe the homesick part but the first part is ehh lol

Ohio state has Julian sayin. Kid is highly thought of. If they get beck back channel that kid. He’s good.

Beck probably trusts we will get some more receiver help if he comes here
Isn't he the kid that thought living in Alabama was more fun than Miami?

MF’ers are on Smith’s nuts so bad that all common logic is lost when it comes to him
