A kid like this would have been our best option at LT over a 3 year recruiting cycle in the past. He would have been forced to start at UF in his freshman year without having the proper time to fill out his frame. Eventually he would turn the corner and become a stud in his final year. It’s great to know that a guy like this is now one of 6 studs that will be coming in yearly. I love the skill set of Okunlola, Mauigoa, and Freeling. Guys like Tinilua are just as important and have a real chance to compete with them in a couple years. When the backups in the trenches have NFL potential, you have a real shot against any program.

Frankie will redshirt and those other guys will likely be 3 and gone. It’s almost like getting a 24 recruit in a year early. He will an excellent back up and then shine in his own light.

He seems to have the mindset. I just don’t see him failing with those raw traits.

This is the type of kid that blows up with his senior film, gets a bunch of high level late interest (SEC, BIG), rankings bump, etc. Great early eval from the staff.

Spoke to Ferman & Shodell:

Was at the game with his mom, returning this weekend with his Dad. Really enjoyed it and spoke to Mario and other coaches afterwards..
Says he is locked in with Miami but will take three OVS this fall: Oregon, USC and UF.
