Samuel Brooks has entered the conversation.
Not sure if him entering helps the argument, lol. He was here for how many years? And had a couple handful tops of good snaps.

He was a target from early on but his name disappeared when it looked our top targets were Stewart and Lightfoot. It resurfaced here and there when people were reporting that we were still recruiting him back in the late summer.Saw this dude on tape a couple months and was shocked no one ever mentioned him on here. Glad he got his chance at the all star games and got his due.
Lightfoot is a composite 5* now and Mack got a big bump as well. I was shocked to see this happen.Lies they only drop Miami recruits, the flat earthers said so
Our fans are cooked they had tin foil caps back in the day. The drops back then were warranted I never understood fans got upset most of the time it was right. Now the evals are better so hey go up (pause). They don’t hate Miami, Miami did that to themselves with ****** evals.Lightfoot is a composite 5* now and Mack got a big bump as well. We are also getting back to the days where our recruits go to all American high school games and show outOur fans are cooked they had tin foil caps back in the day. Facts no more trash AA players that never do anything and there are a lot of those in those games yearly. There are a bunch of guys that play that game and that’s the highlight of their careerWe are also getting back to the days where our recruits go to all American high school games and show out
Been a long time
I’m guilty of it.Our fans are cooked they had tin foil caps back in the day. The drops back then were warranted I never understood fans got upset most of the time it was right. Now the evals are better so hey go up (pause). They don’t hate Miami, Miami did that to themselves with ****** evals.
To me that’s what proved it correct. Then u saw the nfl production and I’m like yea those guys were right lol. I believed it way early in the beginning till the proof came out. Then bama guys were shooting up and I found out why in cfb and the nfl.I’m guilty of it.
The results on the field showed that if anything some were overrated.
Locked on Canes wit Alex DonnoI was just talking about this with a few people. There was a good video interview with Booker Pickett Sr. about how Jr. will be used at Miami. I’ll try to post the link when I remember where I saw it.
Summary?Locked on Canes wit Alex Donno
He was a bad exercise of trying to make a LB out of a DE. That's why I brought him up.Sam Brooks? Wow just wow.
IIRC he had a nasty knee injury, because he had flashed at LB his freshman year prior. He was a bad exercise of trying to make a LB out of a DE. That's why I brought him up.
Kid wound up doing neither.
Insiders are comparing him to Lawerence Taylor.Summary?
With more on the way! The way this DE/Edge group is trending is very exciting as it is well on its way to elite level status. At DT is seems as though we are just now getting started in terms of recruiting the position at an elite level and that must continue in order to get that position up to the level where it should be. The way this staff was able to finish the 2024 cycle at DT was nothing short of spectacular and it saved us from being in a dire situation at the position.Mane Jason Taylor has a entire stable of edge rushers to develop from SRs on down to the freshmen just loaded
I think it was last wk. I’ll have to go back & listenSummary?
Basically Booker Pickett Sr. said that the coaches went over exactly how they want to use him. Said that it would depend on the opponent and situation but that Jr. will be used as a DE in the 4-2-5 as well as have a package at LB which I would assume would be in a 3-3-5 alignment. I'm not sure if Jr will ever have his hand on the ground. I would assume that may change over the course of Pickett's development as he gets bigger and stronger. I think the thing to take from all of this including his tremendous ratings bump and the way he dominated in the All Star games is that people including our coaching staff have finally realized that this young man is more than just your typical high school LB with huge sack and tfl stats who will need 2 years to adjust to college football. I think they are seeing now that Pickett is a special talent who possesses the type of elite first step, speed, quickness, explosiveness, bend, agility, football IQ, closing burst, instincts and diagnostic skills that could enable him to contribute at a high level much sooner than later.Summary?
