Four-star DL Kendall Jackson commits to Miami

Basically there was no room for him in the class. Sucks but good he found a new place. Maybe they offered him a grey shirt and he said no. Mutual decision as D said.

Glad Miami is back to turning down fringe 4 stars cause they have better options. Guys this a a positive unless…. Blount plays the staff tomorrow night

I hate to hear that. I feel bad for Kendall but I'm also really glad that he was able to go to a good program.

I thought Jackson was a good fit for this defense, but is stiff and wins more with first step and power than he does with elite bend or athleticism. Motor gets the most sacks in football (more than just straight running by a guy), so I liked him and I know they did as well.

There are rules on slots for this very reason; it forces programs to place numbers instead of just taking everyone like programs used to do in the past.

Kid will do fine in college. Reminded me of Chantz Williams with more size. Probably ends up a jumbo end on run downs and a guy who plays 5T/3T versatile most snaps.

One glaring sign that Miami is getting right on the DL is having a kid like this not be quite good enough to get in the class. There are years that this kid would be the best or second best DL coming in under past regimes.
