Former 2019 DL commit has heard from Simpson, still interested in Canes

Honestly I'd just stop recruiting this kid. Like there just isn't a point. same can be said, but to a lesser extent about Dontae Lucas. Lucas is just going to take bags, and Hunter is just the type that quits after his first yr because he didn't get enough PT and the coaches are hard on him in the weight room.

Honestly don't care their talent levels.

At DT just keep the 2 we have and add Sorrells and go after National DT prospects.

Anytime a recruit's criteria for choosing a school is how much he likes a coach and how good they make him feel, you know what he's after.

He didn't mention defensive scheme fit, preparation for the NFL, long-time favorite school, academics, proximity to home, etc -- you know, the aspects of a program that actually matter.

But if doesn't he gets us that much closer to the playoffs. We can't get so scared of rejection that we stop asking em to dance. If he's a prima donna now, the UM culture might just give him the attitude adjustment he needs. DL is a position of need for us and always will be. If he wants CMR to call him, then CMR should call him. If he's willing to visit, I say go all in.

And yes, the UM hat trick on NSD does suck and local kids who do it are easy to have contempt for but that can't stop us from going after them.

Punk us? You're taking this too serious. They're just kids having fun on their big day. Yeah it may be at the fans expense but that's such a small price to pay.

You don't offer a kid because he is toxic or a drug abuser or overrated not because he won't get inline with the fans recruiting etiquette.

Every kid will not be an Anthony Chickillo where they sign as soon as they can and then its all canes all the time. Thats not reality.

You guys all need to chill!!! This kid is just being honest of what 90% of the kids think. He said the contact fell off. So, naturally he might think, "maybe they're not that interested in me." I took it as he just wants to go where he feels the coaches believe in him the most. Blame social media and coaches for creating this culture. It's like you got 2 hot chicks after you. Contact with one seems to fall off, while the other one is calling you wanting to come over and posting all kinds of positives about you on social media. Naturally, you think, wow, I only hear from chick #1 once a week and chick #2 is on me daily. You are going to gravitate to chick #2. Instead of 2 hotties, you have 5 hot schools, and a bunch of very nice ones. In a nutshell, this is college football recruiting.

If this type of environment didn't exist, these kids wouldn't think this way. Don't hate the playa', hate the game!!!
