FSU has absolutely struck gold in the portal the last 2/3 years.

The issue is that you can't recruit HS like trash and depend solely on the Portal to fill gaps. It's not a sustainable model, because all it'll take is a couple of bad evals and you'll be terrible with no long term hope. You look at FSU, and it's obvious that they don't place much of an emphasis on developing talent in house. It's working well right now, or should I say, Travis covers a multitude of sins.
