For whatever the reason, a lot of 2024 recruits committed elsewhere because they were unsure if the program was/is headed in the right direction. Mario's strategy for getting an elite class is to prove on the field that change is happening and then flip them. Definitely a high risk, high reward proposition as flipping is never guaranteed and the odds aren't great.

David StoneDTOKEntire family expected him to be a Cane before he pulled out an OK hat
Jayden JacksonDTOKNot sure what happened here cause he was all UM at one point and we didn't finish in the top 2.
Brandon Davis SwainDTCOFlo said watch for a flip of the Colorado DT (but that was just before the season)
Dylan StewartDEUSCeUnclear who finished #2 and #3 here.
Kamarion (Big Kam) FranklinDEOle MissGrandma wanted him in Mississippi
TJ LindseyDEAuburnWe were in the final 5, IDK where in the list we ended up.
Kendall JacksonDEFloridaDecommitted from the Gates, was always high on our board. Mario even busted out a helicopter to visit him.
Adarius "Hitman" HayesLBGatorsReportedly the #1 LB on our board
Ellis Robinson IVCBUGAD$ says if we have a good season, we could be cooking with fire here.
Rydarrius "Red" MorganSBama FSUFlipped from F$U to Bama. D$ says Miami hasn't given up
Brandon JacobSMarylandClose friends/teammate of Markeith Williams. We mysteriously stopped recruiting him agressively but talks have picked up and he visted for the TAMU game
Kaj SandersSRutgersVisited for TAMU game after public communication seemed to stop
Drelon MillerWRTAMUThink we actually finished 3rd in this recruitment
Jeremiah SmithWRO$ULots of smoke about Hartline's future

Mylan GrahamWRO$UStealth visit and lots of smoke about Hartline's future
Terrance "TJ" MooreWRClemsonNo real indication that he's a flip candidate, but @One9 said we need to revisit.
Lawayne McCoyWR/CBNolesLong rumored to flip, nothing has materialized so far
Jerrae "Tank" HawkinsWRGatorsD$ mentioned him as a potential flip candidate (IMHO he's bag chaser with lesser skills than other WR on the flip board)
Jordan LyleRBO$UVisited for A&M, some rumors swirling.
Davon MitchellTEOKSupposedly 50/50 until the end
Amir JacksonTEGatorsNot sure where we stand here
Hogan HansenTEMichiganWe have a long track record of flipping kids from Michigan and several people have said watch this recruitment
Isendre “Papa” AhfuaIOLTAMUWe were in the final two and beat down TAMU.

I didn't forget about these names. I don't think they're flippable or I don't think we'll try to flip them.

Joseph IonataCBamaDropped us like a stone the moment he got the Bama offer
Justin ScottDTO$UWanted to be a Cane, mom vetoed. @Cribby says we have no chance here

CB recruiting remains a mystery. Gaby said

[Beyond Ellis Robinson IV, there is a] Major blue chip name Miami is working to flip

Given that we know we're trying to flip a major CB target, these are names that should be candidates that we're trying to flip, but as of now, no public indication we're trying to flip them.

Cai BatesCBL$U@Memnon expects L$U to have significant issues this season which could open the door here.
Ify ObidegwuCBOregonHis teammate 25 4* CB Kevyn “Kerm” Humes is visiting. Maybe that opens a window?
Xavier FilsaimeCBGatorsPutting him here because it makes sense. So far, no signs the staff agree with us.
Jon MitchellCBPSUVisited earlier in the year and the Canes were thought to have momentum.

Please do not copy and paste the article. Here's the list:
Jeremiah Smith
Ellis Robinson IV
David Stone
Terrence "TJ" Moore
Dylan Stewart
Adarius Hayes
Davon Mitchell
Amir Jackson
Justin Scott
Francis Brewu

Now we're really going to see if Mario is the Magic Man from a recruiting perspective. He flips a couple of these kids plus closes on a few more of his top prospects and we're rocketing up the rankings.

IF this team plays like they did on Saturday for the remainder of the year, its a 9-3/10-2 type season.
IF that happens, MC is gonna make a lot of people on this board eat A LOT of crow.

He will be a menace on the trail to end the year and will have this class pushing for a top 5 finish.
