Wiltfong on his show said the following.

Alford: Miami
Carter: O$U
Pickett: L$U
Hanks: didn’t confirm anything but said Miami is really pushing
Vernell Brown: same as hanks
Wiley: mentioned maybe room being an issue at LB

It is very apparent who the odd man out should be.

Mind you, there clearly are multiple names Mario is working on that aren't public. All of Gaby's math is based on publicly known recruits.

Newberg: an annual tradition like no other. Miami flipping O$U recruits.

Fong: Its spatula season!

By no means is landing 3 of the list above, with 2 of them being Alford and Carter making this class elite.

This class would need to land at least Pickett and Brown plus Alford, Carter and Hanks to be considered closer to "elite." And that would still only put us at the 7th best class by points, not even by average rating per player.

The reality is, unless Mario has the greatest close ever, there is virtually no chance of getting into the top 5. Not sure where that is coming from. Even if Mario closed with three 5 star players, let's just say Pickett, Brown and Solomon Thomas, plus Hanks, Alford and Carter, we would still be 6th with all of that. Cracking the top 5 this year is not happening. Even getting to 7 or 8 looks like a stretch.

Wiltfong on his show said the following.

Carter: O$U

Fong says Carter looks like O$U, but he said he thought U$C looked good for Lowe too, so sounds like he's questioning everything when it comes to Mario and his sources.

Pickett: L$U

Going to be hard to flip him according to Fong. But again, he thought the same thing about Lowe.

Hanks: didn’t confirm anything but said Miami is really pushing

Interestingly enough, he did seem to lump Hanks and VB3 into the outlook/likelihood of a flip. And we know how that's trending. I thought it odd that @DMoney had VB3 in the Top 6 of the flip candidates, but now we're beginning to understand why. This is what I get for questioning D$.

Vernell Brown: same as hanks

Fong says positive conversations underway. VB3 and Joshua Moore are the top two priorities at WR.

Miami still working to flip Dallas Wilson too.

Wiley: mentioned maybe room being an issue at LB

Does Miami have room for 2? Will Miami take a +. We'll see.

Top 5 is locked down if anyone just looks at the standings.

Those top 5 classes are loaded with 5 star and 4 stars.

Miami has zero path to that. Miami isn’t even going to sign 1 5 star.

Top 10 class is r where this ends up and then all focus on the portal.

When you look at the 5* and where they're going, it's just starting to feel like they're all going to end up in the B1G or SEC except the occasional one that just happens to be a die hard fan. Being in the ACC is going to be an uphill battle to compete for 5* talent consistently.

Don't really care about the comparison to Miami. We have played Duke, fsu, gt and famu. Numbers for Miami are useless because we have faced teams with terrible passing offenses all season.
In a vacuum.
Nix and Marcellin = Bissainthe and Kiko
Does 0 to elevate the room.
How so? Asking because I really want to know how you got to this conclusion.
