2025 Flip Watch 2.0 Fong "Mario Cristobal Has Been Relentless and Miami is Going to be Swinging a Big Spatula" (2025 Version)

Also didn't Moore basically come out and say he prefers a run heavy offense? If so can't see that being a good place for a QB like Underwood unless they are promising changes.
I wouldn't lie to him. They won a Natty as a run first team plus true freshman QBs are going to struggle which Moore does not need if he wants to stay off the hot seat

Miami is 9-0, have the best QB in America. In the midst of our best season in 20 years. I like DJ but who gives a ****. If he ain’t want in Mario just gonna find someone else to fill his role.

It’s free agency every offseason, got a feeling UM bout to load up on proven secondary players this winter/spring.

I mean that has not been his history after 3 years of trying but sure.

ND also feels confident in their chances to flip Meadows.

Solid chance LSU loses Meadows, Underwood and Pickett before early signing day. Gotta love Brian Kelly.

LSU fans aren't too worried about Underwood. They are throwing everything at him. Michigan is too, but I'll stick with LSU on this one.

Meadows is the guy that they are unsure of. I know we've been after him and if our staff wants him, I have to think we have some inside track given our history with BG.

Doesn’t want to play with his hs qb i guess
Not at all the case. Miami staff never pursued and had others rated higher Josh Moore being one of them. Because of Nichol he was seen and evaluated on many occasions by Miami and they passed.

Maybe, but every year we have wanted and expected to fill a need and fallen short. Whether it be DT, WR, S, or CB, we have gone into off-seasons ****y and come up short when the season started.
I don't think there's a single team without holes right now, or that has been able to go to the portal and get everything of what they need all at once. It's unrealistic.

I do think after this season the priority is going to go heavy on the secondary and we will see some good gets there between our momentum and the bags being dropped. I just want to see some big DT gets too but we'll see.

I think you believe you are disagreeing with me but you are cementing my point.

I think the difference is, before Mario was selling what competitors could say is a “pipe dream” no substance to actually sell. Now what they gonna say?

I have thoughts, but I'm 9-0 so that will have to come another day.

@DMoney lists current flip priorities in the Nov 8 Bank

there are six battleground recruits committed to other programs that Miami is laser-focused on flipping: DE Hayden Lowe (USC), CB Ben Hanks (Florida), ATH DJ Pickett (LSU), LB TJ Alford (Ohio State), DT Jarquez Carter and WR Vernell Brown (Florida). If we can flip at least three of these players, it’s a solid success. But the staff will push hard on all of them.

Tis the season…

Hanks - 60%
Lowe - 50%
Carter - 40%
Alford - 40%
Brown - 30%
Pickett - 10%

Yikes at Pickett. lol

I'd put Lowe lower based on the fact that he missed his cross country OV. That's a big miss, imo. JMO. Of that group, I feel best about Hanks and Alford but Alford will be a tough pull.

These are all fairly low percentages considering staff wants to get as many as possible. I was hoping one or two were more eminent. Seems like all are uphill battles with maybe one or two realistic flips. I don’t see Thomas on this list- does that mean we are not trying to flip him and/or a lower priority?

No information on Solomon. Think we pull 2 of these guys. Hoping for 3.
