From USC board today:

When Draper (Utah) three-star quarterback Jaxson Dart received a scholarship offer from USC this week, Trojans fans thought two things. First, “great name for a quarterback.” And second, “So Jake Garcia to Miami, yeah?” Well, no. While the connecting of dots is a favorite past time of recruitniks nationwide, from what we are told, Dart’s scholarship offer has nothing to do with Garcia.

“Nothing” maybe be a bit of an overstatement, but Dart was offered a scholarship by USC mainly because of his senior film, which is pretty impressive. His 3,000-yards passing for 41 touchdowns and two interceptions in nine games helps illustrate the type of insane season Dart is having. And at 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, he has also run for 800-yards and nine scores. This is simply a case of USC recruiting the best players available.

In fact, according to one source, it is not out of the realm of possibility USC would take three quarterbacks in the class of 2021. To be clear, it’s not probable, just possible per a source. So that speaks to USC still actively recruiting Garcia and the four-star quarterback’s interest in staying committed to the Trojans. We’ve acknowledged in the past that sources have given credence to the rumors of Garcia giving Miami serious consideration, but at the same time, re-confirming his status as a USC commit at every turn.

It’s hard to say whether USC’s pursuit of Dart would have a significant impact on Garcia’s or Moss’ commitment. Moss has often eloquently stated that his recruitment will not be dictated by the moves of other quarterbacks. And clearly, Moss sees a vested interest in building a solid recruiting class around him at USC.

USC quarterback commit and temporary Georgia resident Jake Garcia is back in California this week. The Valdosta QB, who was declared ineligible for high school football, is just back in town for a few days and will head back South. He will get a little bit of training with his longtime quarterback coach while in town and not playing for Valdosta.

Dart is very good watched him play 4 times this year. Corner Canyon is by far the best team in Utah ( yes I know it's Utah not TX CA of FLA) The kid is big mobile and got a good arm.

??? Hood is back in the picture? I mean, if Miami somehow got him and T2, then I'd have to STFU about LB recruiting.

What hood stuff are you talking about boss

About 5-6 posts up. But upon closer inspection, it looks like I got duped. The one picture of the bird looks like it has "U" written in it, but if you look at Hood's actual tweet, it doesn't have that. So someone doctored it to make it look like he was hinting at Miami.

That tweet was from August & it had absolutely nothing to do with football or recruiting whatsoever.

Jayblaze is just reaching & posting pics for no reason, (no offense Jay lol).

Miami is still recruiting Hood, but as of now he's still pretty sold on Michigan, maybe things could change down the line but for now he's not on flip watch & there is no smoke here.

There is no evidence that Hood is even thinking of dropping Pich right now. I spoke with two guys (one ex-player and one ex-coach) with former ties to the Newman program (where Hood used to play) and he's all Pich.
