Fisch is doing well....I see

I am sure the pay raise had something to do with it. Probably tripled his salary and cost of living went way down while still paying no state tax in florida.

also no one in their right mind would turn down an NFL job for a college one. there are only 32 NFL OC jobs vs a million in college.

It was an NFL OC>than College OC. I give him a pass on much of what has happened in Jax, they're awful and his best wR has a substance abuse issue.

He doesn't have much to work with.

Which is why it was not a good move on his part IMO. I know coaches think moving up in the ranks (college to NFL) is a promotion, but do some **** research and pick the right jobs. That whole staff will be replaced in the next 2 yrs or so and he will be back to looking for a job. Had he stayed here it would have been a win for him in the long run and us as well.

Keep in mind he might have realized that Jacksonville sucked and would therefore get a new QB to coach up from scratch in their next draft class

I wouldn't attempt to read-in conspiracy-like motivations for why a college offensive coordinator would accept an NFL offensive coordinator position. The simplest reason is usually correct. By any measure, that it is a big-time promotion.

Has a college offensive coordinator ever turned down an NFL coordinator position?

ridiculous argument. He didn't have a bunch of NFL offensive coordinator positions to choose from. he had one offer, and he would have been stupid to turn it down.

I don't think his resume was worthy of any offers except for a horrible team with nothing to lose. He's not ready, so Jax got what they paid for, and Fisch gets some experience. Fisch has a lot of potential, but I don't think he's a viable NFL OC at this point.

My point exactly. He could have proven his worth more and gone on to a better situation with a better team and had stability for a long time in the league. Simply put he could've waited for a better situation instead of jumping on the first crappy one where he will probably get canned with the rest of the staff in a couple yrs.

LULZ at dudes making excuses for him for his miserable performance at Jax, yet they don't want to hear excuses for Corch Duh'.

Fck both of them! Let me tell you cats something: The NFL doesn't care about dopey excuses (i.e., he's got nothing to work with so he needs time). That's a results league. They fire corches IMMEDIATELY in that league. Many dudes have been run off after 1 miserable season, and he will be gone very very soon.

Maybe he'll be able to leech on with his beloved uf.ag when Jax fires him.

Fisch is a great QB coach.

Below average play caller and coordinator.

He will always have a job as a QB coach in the NFL.

There are no QB coach jobs in college.

I don't know what kind of potential he has. He was OK here. But the numbers in the OP certainly prove the second half of your sentence.

He's been a confirmed job hopper with not much success to show for it so far. I think he's building a resume, and he'll have some pretty good experience in about 5 to 7 more years. But, I think we agree that at this point Mr. Fisch ain't much. And I don't know why anyone thinks he is. This failure at Jax was almost guaranteed. I think Fisch knew that too. It's just another exposure to a new job and some flowery lines on a resume.
