Fire Golden? Think twice!

This right here. We are questioning Golden's philosopohy and Dorito in general. No one has said they want Golden gone. We've said if he isn't willing to change he can GTFO but not the same.

Ion't give a shizzle if he is right or wrong...Golden better fix this shizzle now, especially if he wants any of my money or support. BOTTOM LINE.

So as long as Golden changes the philosophy he's developed in over 20 years of coaching, he's alright by you? Brilliant.....no one calling for his job though, just want him to morph into a mutant NVA CANE overnight. Gotcha.
 
He should mutate into jimmy johnson...that would be alright with me. Heck at this rate i'd settle for Dennis Erickson circa 1991.

Ima jump in here.

Im of the opinion that the philosophy that coach Golden used to win at Temple will not be successful enough to win a national title. So in an overly simplistic way I'll say YES to your question above. We've seen this before in CFB. To win at the elite level is WAY DIFFERENT than winning at the mid-major level. The examples are countless. A guy takes a mid-major to a bowl, gets a gig at a bigtime program and cant get it done. ****, we even have a great inverted example; Larry Coker. Look at the condition of the program when Larry took over compared to where it was when he was fired. Now look at how well larry is doing at UT San Antonio where he started a program from scratch. PERFECT EXAMPLE. Bein competent and executing the basics will create winning records at lower level D1 programs but you need WAY MORE than that if you plan to win at the highest levels of BCS D1 football.

So YES, we want him to "morph" into a guy who is as focused on creative game-planing and taking a more intellectual approach to gameday prep and mgt than he was used to doing at Temple.

Now is the time to be a head coach at the U. The bad stuff is over with the ncaa. I do not want al to leave but he is the CEO and has to right the program and if friendship comes first? I believe um would pay to find the right guy and staff. Al playing poker is good for him but I believe um will do the right thing and al will have to come to grips make the hard choice.
 
Al golden is bobby Bowden get the staff and players and you will win. Great pr man except the role golden and everything is fine
 
Most fans I know are not calling for Golden to get axed. This is no different then politics where a vocal minority jumps up and down, screaming to the top of their lungs as if their juvenile behavior renders their opinions justified.
 
ive never said that golden should be fired, what i have been saying is if golden cant let go his dumb *** of a friend then there should be let go, im pretty sure that is what majority on this board means when they do bash golden, im really hoping this stuff about ****head being bought out is true, because fans will call for his head if they continue to see this **** on the defensive side of the field

and there have been some posts calling for his head

Golden needs to be the CEO that's all and cut the fat. When you lose to duke and tech and all of your players would be starting for them and get abused. That's a problem. I don't know how to explain it any better. And the a coastal is on the line?

Regarding Media I agree, but not about this board.

The minority here blindly support Golden and Dorito, there are those who want Golden to change his DC and defensive philosophy (my case), but at least this week, many are calling for Golden´s head...

It´s easy to find the posts\posters calling for Golden´s job

Okay so that why we lost gimme a break. You have 2 to 3 players that might be starting for us and that's why we lost?
 
Those players are difference makers and players you have to gameplan for. Do we have any of those on D? If you were an offensive coordinator do any players we have scare you? Can you not see at least 4 players that you can exploit in Renfrow, Gaines, AJ, and TC?
 
I would take any miami player on our roster and would think we are better overall than vjoke and duke. I am saying overall and if you would like to implant a player here or there from their powerhouse teams fine. But I think I will win against these teams with our current roster.
