Finally Ends today. May PSU Never Darken Our Doorstep Again

This horrible PSU-induced nightmare finally ends today. Now let them go back into obscurity of their rehabilitation process. It will be interesting to see what Coach Golden does now during the next few weeks until NSD. Hopefully the rest of our recruits are loyal to their commitment and we can pick up a few surprises before NSD ends. No more talk about Golden to PSU. Coach Golden's strength is his recruiting, so they say, so let's see how he cleans up from the mess of the past two weeks. So glad that the unneeded drama of this PSU crapupathon is over. Time to move on.

And with that said, I will root for PSU to lose every game they play until the end of (my) time.

They raped kids, and ****ed UM fans in the ***.
 
Yup, it's great that's over. So how's about putting away that broad brush and concentrating?

By far the worst part of this fiasco is that it occurred during a "dead period" in recruiting. Rumors fly, recruits get nervous, and there is no way for the coach to do any work to keep the class together. Expect the staff to make the Wehrmacht look like pedestrians come Jan 15. UM coaches have some work to do.

The staff miss managed this PR issue from the beginning. They reap what they sew. I expect to see a staff scramble just trying to keep the recruiting class further implode.

Golden could've handle it way better, just look at how Jimbo handled all the Texas talk he simply said there is nothing to talk about and there is not one thing or person bigger then FSU football I'm only interested in FSU football so it didn't turn into a distraction and FSU was able to win the national championship and have a great class, when Golden went missing it made it about him and not the program

If Jimbo wasn't interested in the Texas job, then it makes perfect sense to say that. Golden WAS interested in the PSU job, and under active consideration. I don't know all the facts. Neither does anyone else here. Without the facts, I can't say he could have handled it way better. It was an awkward time to be sure. If Golden closes out this recruiting class in good shape, this whole thing will blow over.

How can you say such blasphemy? This is a message board, where you aren't supposed to allow facts to affect your agenda's opinion.
Maybe YOU didn't know the true facts, but Franchise, JHallCanes, WhatTheHell, ThreadKilla, GoldenShowers, RidLer80, and Problem 2, et al all knew EXACTLY what were the FACTS!
Besides, if you have an agenda, just make 'em up! So what if they ain't true.

I just think disappearing for 3 days with recruits trying to contact you and the media all over the place with rumors could make grown men uneasy so how do you think that could affect 17 year old kids

The damage has already been done. I wonder how the guy with the psych degree is gonna be able to convince himself that the Miami job is actually the job he wants. Let alone get his team to buy in to it. Then you've got recruits who are being told he doesn't really want to be here. The man has plenty of work to do before one drill is run for spring practice.

No chance. He better hope to maintain what he has. Not alot of positivity about Miami football right now. Blame whoever you like, but it is the truth.
