I don't know if it's a small handful or not cause I don't usually bother to pay attention to names. But the narrative around here that is floated OFTEN is Mario is simply failing and is doing a horrible job. Can't even recruit anymore( that's putting it all in one ball of wax)it's tiresome how miserable these ****** people are. If it is only a small handful then how bout send these people who consistently have to **** all over everything in every thread off to mope purgatory. Cause it's ruining any glimpse of positivity and it drowns out the experience on here honestly. I get people are allowed to say as they wish. But at what point does the majority get any respect either. No one wants to see how often these people ***** when 8 out of 10 there's no basis for it factually speaking.

There’s always some. If any it’s a very very small fraction of this board that says Mario does nothing - blanket - across the board.

The vast majority does not say stuff like that here. There’s a few hate and complain about everything miserable ***** and maybe some trolls that do that. Most people, who are being objective, have mixed feelings complementing some things and criticizing others. There are a few people on here who would have others believe that the Mario can’t do anything crowd is rampant. That’s not accurate or fair to the average poster here.
 
I would be excited for 1 commit, ecstatic if we get 2. I've seen too many of these weekends where the visit list is loaded and come Sunday, it's crickets.

What percentage of ports do y'all call a small fraction. I'm not on here often anymore(because of them mind you)but EVERY time I am all I see is well never get back to where we need to be under Mario and he's not gonna change enough & We can't land any good qbs(because of Mario) & we can't recruit any wr(because of Mario) Madre de Cristo... Enough is enough. State your opinions and move on. Why CONSTANTLY draw everyone into this miserable nonsense when 0.000001% have any clue what they're ACTUALLY speaking on. As in any knowledge of what might truly be going on where it matters? I get y'all wanna defend the product but how many people have to leave before y'all finally say we better start worrying about the content and the people we do have? This ain't no mom and pop sight no more. Might do well to consider that. That's not saying sunshine is the only approach that's saying maybe we can be concerned without throwing it in every person's face at the first chance possible consistently.

The irony is that the only criticism I’ve had of Mario related to the portal was because people on here told me he wasn’t going after more LBs, another DB or an OL. Yet here we have every one of those positions represented.

I mean, do people really think his skill set for being an elite HS recruiter is so dramatically different than transfer recruiting that he wouldn’t be at least really really good at it? And he’s brought in a much more aggressive recruiting staff over this off-season. This outcome was inevitable.

The only fear I have at this point is can we close the WRs. Because Mario will be relentless and it’s just down to getting a guy who buys into Dawson, Beard and TVD. Also a serviceable backup QB. But that’s asking too much lol.

When you say the average poster I'd agree. The vast majority are not of this mindset. But when say 5-10% just ***** it seems like tons more considering it's the same message throughout. You know **** well I'll speak my mind good or bad. But Jesus for anyone objective that looks at us now and still only complains considering where we were just one full year ago then they don't need to be here. I can see concerns as well as anyone. But I'm aware what goes into it. Why y'all think I've said since day 1 WERE GONNA BE FINE... Its a process. Buckle up or get the **** out. Just make the choice and that's that.

I have no issues with you personally, I merely provided a collage of general statements that were discovered via a simple search. I do not doubt that you have provided detailed analysis in other threads, I was not saying that one post of yours is representative of all of your posts.

And I don't have blind faith in anything. As I've said, we need to enroll guys to show that all the effort was made and was worth it.

But stuff IS happening. And when some people try to share THAT, we are called "slurpers".

Sooo...I don't know what to tell ya. I know Mario needs to deliver enrollments, not just hard effort. But it's also not slurping him to tell people that he is back-channeling a LOT more than has been made public.

Ok but stating that he can’t land a QB or a WR is a different criticism than what was alleged - that a broad group here says Mario does nothing.

We can’t and shouldn’t stop honest posters from having opinions that aren’t popular with others. It’s a message Board. We shouldn’t have people attacked and bullied and intimidated for being honest and well-intended.

Many people, myself included, do not see Mario turning the QB/WR situation around until we show otherwise on the field which I think Dawson can do but choosing Gattis and putting that product on the field caused this. At the same time, many of us have bowed down with respect for what Mario has done in the trenches.

The people who hate everything or troll are a limited group and they usually get dealt with by the board or us as Maude’s.

You don’t say that stuff. NoFly, Inday, WEZ and a bunch of thoughtful but concerned fans post both positive and negative points about Mario. which are totally reasonable.

But the mope squad has been really bad this off-season. It’s like no one looked at the new coordinators, Lee, Cohen. Kiko, Brown et al, the stud freshmen and thought, hmmm, this guy Mario is getting at it. They just have 5-7 and Gattis churning in their minds and can’t move on. And it’s pretty frickin annoying tbh.

To follow the team. That doesn't mean i have to wear a skirt and pom pom's like some of you. I'll be in stands during the season, and if i leave in disgust in the 3rd quarter because we can't score and Coach has used all his timeouts i'll still be here to listen to all you crash back to reality.

I mostly agree. There are people here who are just miserable and complain about and hate on everything. I don’t care about them or the trolls. The others, who are well-intended fans, with honest opinions not attacking others for not being a runner stamp of approval on everything - those posters matter to me here.

I don’t disagree. Those dudes who regurgitate and vomit that are annoying and I don’t consider them relevant as posters because they don’t even try to be objective and fair. They just tear down.

There’s a lot to be happy about. I can survive without the WR and QB targets I’d love right now because as I’ve said, in short, look at the trenches. We can build it solid this way and get those pieces as the final part. @Ricaneswag has been saying it forever.
