OF is not difficult to learn.
If it wasn't difficult to learn, we wouldn't see guys butchering the outfield position. It's a lot more complicated than "he's fast and has a good arm".

Instincts are an almost unteachable aspect of OF. You can be fast, but if your first step when the ball hits the bat is in the wrong direction your speed can make the misstep even worse. If it wasn't difficult to learn, we wouldn't see guys butchering the outfield position. Happens all the time where guys make position changes to better suit the type player they are.
If you know baseball u know his future is in the OF. Has terrible hands for a SS. Can’t fix that.
Think Dee Gordon as a recent example.

Alright bud why don’t you show us how it’s done.OF is not difficult to learn.
Nice easy win lol.
Hopefully Slade can go 9 tomorrow
Dee Gordon was moved because they have a future Hall of Famer playing second base. Terrible analogy.
Outfield isn't easy, no matter how much you think you can just put a fast guy out there.

Then we disagree. Any capable baseball player with his ability should be able to learn.
I tend to believe that any baseball player who can't learn to throw a baseball accurately over a 120 foot span also can't learn how to play a new position.
If Del Castillo can learn to be serviceable in OF, so can Zamora.
Anyone who thinks corner OF is difficult to learn has never played the game at any level. It's difficult to play well, sure. It's not difficult to play at a servicable level.
And we've had plenty of guys switch or play multiple positions just this year.
Tuero, Escala, and Del Castillo are all infielders who have seen time in the OF this season. With the way roster and scholarship rules are you need players to be able to go at multiple spots.
If not OF though, just switch Zamora and Vilar. Vilar was a good SS in HS and has fielded well here. Zamora's issues with making throws across the diamond wouldnt matter as much at 2B (yes, he'd still have errors but they wouldnt be as many). FSU made this same switch with De Sedas and it helped their D a lot
