I like Perryman and Morris but stop acting like you've been there and done that. Beat scrub *** teams like UVa, MD, etc before you start withholding nicknames and telling people to earn stuff.

Disagree to an extent. Maybe they have seen that entitlement mentality ingrained in the culture and want to be leaders who make sure the incoming guys don't fall for their own press clippings. I understand your implications that Morris and Perryman haven't exactly set the world abalze just yet. Point taken there.

I will ask again. Where does it say Perryman refuses to call him Duke?

My bad. I took it that both Morris and Perryman were doing it. So I'll just say that Morris should stop acting like he's been there and done that. Better? I appreciate that he's trying to be a leader and all but he hasn't exactly proven anything yet himself. To Vinn's point, I too am glad that these guys are at least trying to be accountable and be leaders.

Exactly some of you "fans" I use that term very loosely have no clue. T.Howard hasn't over taken McGee. lol one practice could be giving the young pup some time. Some of you "fans" seriously go pound sand!

That's a *****-*** post, and the kind that will get you negged by me in the future if you continue.

This was a good discussion about the culture of the team, incoming freshmen, symantics, and Golden's jersey system. Then you come in throwing fireballs about the 'fans' who aren't really fans, according to your judgement. Turrible. Take that mentality back to Grassy. Add something substantive (or funny, at least) to the thread, or don't post.


To the previous debate, I have no problem with the starting QB refusing to call an incoming true freshman by anything but his proper first name. His mamma call him Randy, imma... Also, I thought black jerseys were just a notation on who worked the hardest. Not necessarily the starters. Clarification would be appreciated.

From everything I've gathered, Black Jerseys mean 1st team Defense (which normally goes to those working the hardest, and showing it on the field).
