Fernando Mendoza

I prefer Mendoza over the other 2 QB "mystery names" personally. Those names might excite the board a little more but this kid in our offense will ball IMO. As I've told others get the big time safety and LB in the playoffs... and keep Martinez and we have a top 10 roster.
Who could be the big time safety and LB? And why would they be transferring?

Not too worried about Mendoza against FSU. Their defense was pretty good

More concerned about his game against Syracuse that I watched
He threw for 300 against them. Didn’t have Ott and had one weapon on offense (TE). OL was awful as was his WRs. He strikes me as a guy that would do well with the talent we have.

This is the razors edge you run when you are in the portal game for a QB year over year.
I happen to like this game, but it ain't for the faint of heart.

Do you take the 7 on the table or do you hold off for an 8, 9, or 10?

We held out for the 10 last year and even though it was 5am, finally sealed the deal.

Now we're trying to go home at 10pm and we got a 7 on the table.

I'd take Mendoza over Emory. He is proof of concept Emory. I'd rather just pay the money for what we assume would be Emory or better.

But do understand everyone wanting something better.

With that said...there was a large contingent that wanted Will Howard last year. Mendoza seems like he'd give us what we wanted from Will Howard.

Howard before Ohio State thenHoward after he went to Ohio State...hit numbers many would project Mendoza to hit here.

Could be worse.

Unless we're getting Ewers or unknown other in the playoffs...

The fact we aren't chasing a bunch of qbs makes me think they either have someone that hasn't announced or truly believe emery is ready.
They were interested in the #1 qb but not much else.
I think if they beleive in emery he will play some Saturday. Him playing will prove he can orake them go get someone

Well the only thing that matters to these kids today is winning.... oh wait lmfao
We all know its about that bag… but just thinking out loud, if the team is in the playoff, why wouldn’t they pay to keep them in house if they were big time? I was just looking at the playoff teams depth chart and haven’t seen anyone that seems to be a candidate to transfer.

Obviously Caleb and Anthony Hill would be something that couldn’t be put into words, but I’m 100 that its not those two.

Would Chris Cole be considered big time at this stage? I was hoping to get him last cycle. Maybe Aguero?

Yeah FSU the way they played us I can see how his stat line would come about. They don’t like giving up the big play but have some good athletes

We made it work just being crazy talented on offense

The LB more big time than the safety as far as production goes. And we aren't the only school that's value perception is different from the player and their family...

Augero the only one I see that make sense. He is the backup at nickel for uga. Remember rusty when he was at 247 said Miami almost had him and the LT freeling when he came out of hs
