Quick recap - all recruiting season I read interviews, follow visits, track offers, and look at rosters to make an educated guess on recruits and coaching situations and such.


Ferman does the same thing as I do, but people pay him?



I'm doing it wrong.
 
I am on both sites, and with all due respect for everyone's hatred of Fernan, this site doesn't exactly produce the most updated information of news either.

Problem is that guys like you think what Fairy German is giving you is "news". It's not. He's giving you nothing that Barry Jackson isn't giving for free. And Barry give it first and better.

The articles, recruiting updates, the boards, and moderation here dump on any other Canes site.

If u cant see that, there isnt much hope for u.
 
I literally dont even read Fermans articles anymore. If it wasnt for the MB, I wouldnt even waste my time with that site...

My advice to you is to be done with Rivals forever, this site provides better info without Ferman's bull****

I just do not understand paying for any information that will be public knowledge at some point. Ferman offers nothing, makes stuff up and is overall a complete asshat. The old grassy and this site are the best, plus you get some wonderful entertainment in the WEZ and best of all it is free. Keep in mind, especially on the recruiting information 99% of that stuff is personal opinion. The only real insiders when it comes to that information is the young men being recruited. I value opinions from the fellas on this site because it is not fabricated or embellished to sell subscriptions. Just one man's humble opinion.
 
It's like when people say their is a 50% chance a recruit will commit. Basically just say I have no ******* idea it's the same ****.

See it's easy for you to say that because those who do have contacts can't talk about it. Its an NCAA violation for anyone at the university to release info about the recruiting of high school players. Does it happen? **** yes and at every University. There are more people than you think who have inside information.

The bigger question is what do you consider an insider. Usually the people who know someone are only privy to compartmentalized info due to where that source might work at the University. So they may know something about recruiting but no something about the OC hire. See where I'm going with this.

As a canes fan you shouldn't be associated with ANYTHING YAHOO!

The fact that anyone is a member there AFTER the Charles Robinson article is embarssing.
 
I pay the money for rivals as I rarely read the board there and like to follow stuff nationally, but the entire site has taken a dive since 247 got legit. The rankings are absolutely terrible and even the video this year was pretty suspect and with hudl it's not even worth going there anymore. I don't think there's a "scout" at rivals whose opinion I respect anymore.
