I agree with everything D$ said except the part about ignoring the wife and kids for this team. I ignore my wife and kids cause they're annoying as ****.
You can see it already in the dripping sarcasm by some that have been labeled as the "mopes", pulling out the pom-poms and being all faux happy-clappy.crossover22[]_[];1912193 said:I love how certain posters feel the need to overreact to a post like d moneys.

I don't think D$ meant to do that. That's just fake, and just as dumb as the constant negativity. It's perfectly fine to be upset with last season and what could happen this season if you think it's more of the same. Just don't let it permeate every single thread, and try to talk football and be rational about it as opposed to razzing the staff/players/schemes at every single turn. We get it. There's improvement to be made--and it might not get better until it gets worse. However--let's talk about it on a football level, and go from there.
You want to post like it's the WEZ and do nothing but flame anyone who doesn't agree with you and post GIFs? Then go there. You want to talk things on a purely football level, I'm all for any and all posts like that here.

I'm sure it was DCH that did it. He is a winner let me tell you
It isn't even 10 AM and we've already had someone compare the 2014 team with the 2001 team.
How are we supposed to react to that?

I've got my own issues with Coley and his offensive playcalling, just as bad as some of you have with NoDFrio and his defense (which I share some of that angst, too). Stop being ********. Seriously. I open a thread about the indoor practice facility and people are arguing about the defense. Enough already.
It's one thing to be honest about the state of the team, or to call out stupidity. We all saw the last five games. But that isn't what's going on here. This is the same pack of people looking for the chance to leak **** blood all over a thread. And these are good posters, too.
The season is 41 days away. We live and die for this team. We ignore our wives and kids for this team. Three years ago, we weren't even sure if we would have a team. Now the NCAA Enforcement division is in shambles and we're still here. I'm going to enjoy the **** out of it.
We've had an entire off-season to **** about Golden's disloyalty and the collapse of the defense. Let's focus on the team that is taking the field on Labor Day. That is the reason we are all here.
A bunch of beaten wives the lot of you.
The team sucks. The kids are trying but in all likelihood they aren't going to be close to acceptable standards. This is the University of ******* Miami. More NFL players come from our region than in any other region in the country. To consistently put out inferior product after inferior product, and then get mad about it when people refuse to overlook all the obvious failures of the staff, administration, etc. is asinine.
If your dog ***** in your living room, you clean it up and then you don't have to worry about it. The dogs have been sh1tting in our living rooms for years and the people we hired to clean it up just keep sprinkling sparkle dust on turds and saying "bahh don't worry about it eventually it'll get done".
If you don't want to read about how sh1tty the team is, maybe don't run a message board forum discussing a sh1tty team.
Some people live in the factual, proven world. Others prefer to delve into scenarios, what-ifs, etc.
People who don't want to hear recollection of factual happenings then try and turn the realistic individual into a pariah, AKA "a mope" or "the angry mob".
So when you have a realistic individual being told he's a mope by someone who blindly makes statements like "Well the 2014 team is just like the 2001 team" you're going to have a clash of opinion that will lead into a more interesting, hot topic discussion than "Well we're getting new practice fields yayyy".
If you'd rather we take crazy pills, talk a bunch of hype unrealistic positive **** about a team with no clear cut QB and a defense who can't be trusted to allow less than 500 yards, just come out and say it. Don't beat around the bush with this "we've had all summer to talk about what's wrong with the team, let's talk about the positives now" trash.
I'd like to say you're better than that, but being as I deal with proof and evidence, it's yet to be seen.
I don't mind to talk straight-up football with you, or anyone else, on here or in person. Never have. I've vehemently disagreed with folks w/o things escalating to the point of stupidity that we've seen on here plenty of times.See DMoney? You just can't please some people. You criticize, they b*itch and moan. You say good things all positive, and the b*tch and moan.

It's when you and others go constantly to one extreme or another (positive or negative) that is grating and insufferable--and causes the issues that D$ alluded to.
It's dumb as **** for anyone on here to go super-positive and say 14-0 national title for this year when that's likely not happening...there's just way too much wrong within the program and with the coaching staff (schemes and playcalling included) for that to happen. The major questions at DT and QB, along with the unfavorable schedule just do not make that a realistic possibility.
It's also dumb as **** for anyone on here to go super-negative and wish and/or predict that we'll lose ****-near every game due to Golden, NoDFrio, and the schemes...and to try to relate it to anything that's even semi-positive that's reported about the program at every opportunity. May as well not even play the games according to this set of folks, that is, until we hire Butch back (which is delusional and as likely to happen as the team going 14-0).
There is a middle ground there somewhere. We're all (hopefully) Canes fans here, the new season is coming about, and that's something to be excited about in and of itself. College football is almost back. To be a superfan and say we're winning it all is crazy talk, and deserves to be called out. To be a constant nuisance predicting doom and gloom before one snap has happened, is also dumb and deserves to be called out. I think if we can all discuss the issues with our program with a focus on pure football as opposed to "so-and-so sucks, so we'll lose", or "CANES 4 LIFE!!! We're winning it all!"...then this board can be better.
Til then, it sucks.
