Feliciano

Saturday was probably the best game our OL has had in years, outstanding performance.

i agree with this, but i'd reserve judgment on Kehoe and the offensive line until they play ND, Va Tech, and FSU. if we can consistently get first downs on 3rd and three (or less) and give Morris a reasonable time to throw then the line and Kehoe will deserve recognition. I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm not sure the Ga Tech is the best barometer, and the OL struggled against BC (not to mention K St).

Looks like a freakin fullback leading the way when he pulls. Dude moves well for a big guy. And as mentioned, always seems to hit someone.

Love this kid and the whole story.

Anyone else remember the one MJ run where he got bottled up and stuffed? MJ could go right or left and went right and got stuck. Had he followed Feliciano, big man was running up a seam with no one to block. Anyways, he looks great on pulling plays to my untrained eye.

Saw this as well, it was late in the game if I recall correctly and would have been a huge gain. The replay showed it just open up like the red sea. James had a gr8 game but he left quite a few yards on the field.

...was in Nyc al weekend so didnt get to watch the game till LATE LAST NIGHT after getting in.....

*Feliciano brought a tear to my eye on i think Duke's run in the 2nd half...dude pulled around(extremely quick) and stuck the first color that showed in the hole..and completely pancake the guy to almighty **** textbook style....(it brought me back to my first time doing something similar...and it was a titanic moment for me watching feliciano.

*Love Feliciano..and i think Duke does to...he breaks alot of his runs behind the guy.....

he's real comfortable at guard...for a big strong brute..dude gets to the 2nd level VERY easy...and he is a FINISHER of blocks likely the best on our team (Seantrel surprisingluy is one of the best also)....i love that out of my guards...straight mauler's.......and thats what he is....

*i have him graded likely as our best lineman so far this year.

ND, and FSU will be problems for our line......

*ND will have a big HOSS over Mcdermottt who is the slightest guy on our line that he wouldnt be able to get much push on..plus they have that TRUITT kid we were after who is abeast on the end....

FSU i fully expect to give Malcolm Bunche fits..their fast on the edges...and up front period..but that German kid brings it....

If we play our line to their strengths straight up man to man blocks...no zoning against (fsu i believe will give our zone runs problems as theior guys get upfield quick as **** shooting gaps...and will stagger our rbs in the backfield).....i think we can zone ND though....

If we can somehow control the line somewhat from a rushing standpoint against fsu...(it will be a ball game)

Werner is a beast but seems like more of a souped up Chickillo to me...not necessarily a speed guy off the edge. Bunche/Henderson will be better off against him then they would have against Jenkins.

Kid has been an animal for us at G, the line as a whole seems to be gelling at the right time.

Not true at all. He might not be the quickest or fastest guy but he has efficient footwork and the body control to bend off the edge and run the arc. Most of his sacks come off speed-rushes as he's deceptively quick like Chris Long. The other DE Carradine is more of a Chickillo type...he gets into the body of blockers and uses his strength and hands to disengage and find the QB.

Feliciano is a beast and I expected as much when I saw his HS highlights (the same ones that prompted corch to offer him on the spot). If he played for a school that had more exposure he'd have been very highly recruited and ranked.

He's been a rock at guard so far. Very very impressed with him. Has looked better than Linder in every game per these eyes.

He also got a quite a few yards on second effort after breaking tackles.

Mongo has definitely surpassed my expectations. He's deceptively athletic especially when you compare him physically to the guys around him. He looks a little sloppy but can really move. I totally agree with him being a great finisher aswell and Kehoe has mentioned it this year in interviews. I think he's a year in the weight room away from his peak which is scary. He's an absolute mauler and has done pretty well in pass pro. I don't think he ever gets bumped out to tackle again either which is a good thing. You have to give credit to this guy for working his *** off but also Kehoe who knew last year this kid was a guard all the way and played him at tackle out of necessity. He's also cut down on the penalties from last year.

not sure why anyone would doubt the dude coming into this year. he was the best player on the OL last year before injuring himself celebrating in the endzone. the kid got IT.

I really like what I have been able to see from the OL line this year. They are getting better every game for the most part. we will see what they do against FSU, that is the real test.

Yup. Caught that, too. Commented on it in the game thread.
