Realize he sucks? It was his first try and it was at a major college before he even coached outside of the city of Miami...Thats like saying Nick Saban shouldn't have been a HC after he sucked the first time.

I kinda know Leavitt. Talked to him many times when he was building the USF program. Really approachable down to earth dude. Used to take my son out to USF to run the hill between fields (now usf practice and soccer fields). He would always stop and chat us up. Dude knew talent and is a top caliber DC.

The FAU stadium, having experienced it firsthand when we played there last year, is somewhat better than a glorified high school stadium. And the parking is a complete joke. If they ever get big crowds there, they cannot handle it, parking turns into a clusterfūck. Proven when I went there to the game last year. Fortunately, from my understanding they never have big crowds. That Miami crowd was the biggest they've ever had then, and since.

So I get what you're saying. That FIU stadium is actually worse than high school stadiums. I've been to the Traz on several occasions, and I will bet it's better than the FIU stadium right now

I think Cristobal can land a better job as well. At worst a UCF caliber, at best a lower tier ACC/BIG10 school.

Would be the perfect job for Randy. Recruit your backyard.. Profit.

I hope Mario gets an offer and takes the job. Don't care what small impact it may have on recruiting. I want that redneck school out of SoFla.

I think he was a really bad HC for us (and a lazy recruiter), but he deserves another chance somewhere if he wants it. He might not.

Mmmmm...Saban never sucked. He took a dead MSU program and made them relevant. That's what got him the LSU job.

I will be very very surprised if Shannon gets the FAU job.

You're totally right. He was a bad for us.

i think a school like FIU he could be successful with the knowledge he learned from his time here. Built in advantages are all around for Shannon at that school. I think he would be able to pull local kids and compete against their competition on the field. He's a competitive guy and im sure he would like another shot. FIU is a best case scenario, Low expectations and he could probably get them to be competitive year in and year out for a bowl. That's really winning at FIU
