Fan bases blaming NIL for every recruit they lose out on

We are recruiting on steroids. Mario Cristobal. Staff filled with fvckin DAWGS on the recruiting trail. Unlimited budget.

We comin. Not backing down. We fuccin.

They were fine with it because they also had the NCAA complicit with it and ensuring that they were the only ones who could pay out that illegal money. NIL has destroyed their monopoly on paying players.
That is it right there. Completely unlevel playing field. NCAA was the personal enforcement arm for certain schools.

When I was a Systems Sales Associate (Selling Mid-Range Computer Systems to Mid and Large Companies) the technology and software wasn't always able to adapt to changes in the marketplace. So became the rise of companies like Oracle and Peoplesoft that touted their ability to adapt to changing markets and company needs. It's the same here, NIL, open market Recruiting and programs like Miami and USC investing more money and personnel to their programs has changed Recruiting. Tennessee has been dormant longer than us and for them to think their program is more attractive to recruits than Miami is ridiculous.

If you told me after last season this would happen to The U I’d say you’re nuts. This is bizarro world. Somehow I think I’m gonna wake up and we’ll still have Manny and ranked 32 in recruiting.
It’s still hard to fathom. Perfect timing of hiring Mario, an already outstanding recruiter, and NIL.

I remember when we used to rationalize losing out on top targets with excuses

Loser fanbases do it
Biggest difference is, we weren't allowed to play by the same rules as schools that were beating us out. It's one thing to complain about "bags" when your school is under constant surveillance by the NCAA while others flaunt their blatant breaking of the rules. It's completely different to complain about "bags" when everyone is allowed to spend.

On the Bama boards THEY'RE complaining about it. I think the NIL is an absolute s*** show in terms of rules and regulation but it certainly has removed the advantage of many schools who were the leaders in paying players under the table.

Biggest difference is, we weren't allowed to play by the same rules as schools that were beating us out.

The difference is at schools like Alabama there's a good ol boy network that is made for underground dealings, like a mafia, where people keep their mouth shut and money flows through that network. But just like the mafia, you end prohibition and suddenly there's no advantage, businesses can get involved and businesses are more efficient and have a much higher ceiling. What made Bama great at this is now slowing them down.

I feel like we have entered into the Upside Down world from Stranger Things and we are not just flush with cash, but freely tossing it around in a completely legal manner, meanwhile $EC schools like UF struggle to scrounge up some pennies for recruits.

And I love it.
Just started finished season 1…good show!! But we’re not entering the upside down. We’re leaving it.
