- then he went to JUCO and was planning to play this season and transfer in December.

So he wouldn't be eligible till 2014?

He played as a true freshman at FIU (2012), he would have to sit out 2013 and be eligible for 2014. I doubt he could get any waiver (i.e. be closer to home haha).

I would take him now, redshirt him and get him ready for 2014. He gets to train with the team NOW and join them for the spring in 2014.

This, get the kid here and ready for 2014.

Did he just get better after he he made a college choice? How does he go from being a player at FIU to being ready to become the "best DL we have" immediatly?

**** doesn't make since mane. In only one year he goes from an FIU player to a top JuCo player had a he gone?

Judas Coach brought in few players to fiu who could have played at better programs - T.Y. Hilton comes to mind. But yeah it is funny how a recruit's potential changes as their interest in our program changes.

Some kids are late bloomers? DT's usually take time to develop and mature physically. Not sure if that's what happened with him or not, just some thoughts.

Morris the RB for the redskins played at FAU,who would have believed their fans 4,5 years ago if they claimed he was better than Mike James,Javaris James and any other RB on our roster.Maybe Brown had bad grades or was much smaller and just blew up at FIU.

What's his size now compared to when he came out of high school?

On 247, 6'5, 260 lbs, 2* out of HS, now 6'5, 270 lbs... He did have 1.5 sacks in 10 games as a true freshman.

Just glad the coaches are being proactive trying to get DT's into school now. They clearly are not happy with the way the young pups are coming along with the number of DT's we have offered.
